(EP) Eznurf Pact

Welcome, members of the Eznurf Pact! Here is the location of our International Parliament, where we, the members of the pact, establish both economic and military policies that govern our nations as a whole.

To get started, I would like to teach you all how to actually say the word 'Eznurf', as you are probably wondering. It is pronounced, (Ezh-noorf). The 'zh' is like the 'dg' in 'edge'.

Anyways, as has been stated in the Pact's constitution, each nation gets five representatives in each house of Parliament, amounting to a total of ten representatives.

Here's how this Parliament will work:

1. Someone proposes a bill or policy in the Lower House
2. The Lower House votes on the policy
3. If it passes by a 2/3 majority, the Upper House votes on it.
4. If the Upper House passes it by 2/3 majority, it becomes a policy that every nation must follow, but that is not enforced.
5. A revote may be called, but can only be carried out once per policy.
6. There will be 7 day voting sessions for each House
7. At the beginning of each session, I will announce whether the Lower House or the Upper House is voting
8. There will be another thread for voting, when a vote comes up. This thread is simply for member states to discuss what they may, as well as propose policies and such.

Lonbonia wishes to join the pact, so the Lower House of the Eznurf Parliament will begin voting on whether or not he should be accepted, on Wednesday. I want to give us a few days to get our bearings and come together before I start the voting.

The Lower House will vote from Wednesday until Friday, unless everyone's votes are in before then.

Yellasia is in support of Lonbonia joining, but also thinks we should put more thought into who we're letting join. We need to establish common values, goals, etc.

We agree with Yellasia. We should try to be conservative in regards to the expansion of the pact. Our government is currently trying to reduce immigration (most of which is illegal) while also maintaining it's commitments to the Eznurf community; without closely regulating the nations entering the pact there is a potential risk that dodgy nations can bypass our immigration laws by abusing the concessions currently provided to citizens of Eznurf Pact member states . Has Lonbonia's government specified any reasons for joining the pact?

We in Marquette will make more in-depth inquiries as to the policies of Lonbonia, its allies, and its government styles.

The ICHPS wishes to withdraw it's membership from the Enzurf Pact.

Dromoda wishes to withdraw it's membership from the Enzurf Pact.

With these two nations leaving, Yellasia believes it is important for the remaining four of us to discuss the future of this pact.

Marquette of Pacific is outraged at Dromoda and the Holy Patrician States for leaving the Pact. The remaining members are: the Catham Islands, Marquette of Pacific, Aloia, and Yellasia. Good riddance to those filthy traitors, and may we remaining members continue to uphold the principals that our pact was founded upon.

We express feelings of dishonour for Marquette's position to our move to leave the pact. We leave the pact as it now goes against our beliefs regarding our socialist government.

And what, pray tell, is my position? I simply guide this Pact along, opening and closing voting sessions, as well as taking part in this democracy. I have no, "position".

Yellasia wishes for the Eznurf Pact members to defend their ally, Aloia in response to an extremist government takeover of the capital.

Yellasia wishes to call an emergency session between Eznurf Pact members in light of the recent declaration of war by the UCCP.

Aloia agrees with Yellasia's idea and the meeting will start soon.
