(CODI) Confederation of Distinct Ideologies

The leaders of The Confederation of Distinct Ideologies have been able set aside their differences to achieve prosperity and guaranteed defense in a increasingly dangerous world. All nations in this pact have pledged to assist each other militarily: defensively, offensively(after a vote is held to determine whether the cause is just), or otherwise. The nations have also agreed to free and unhindered passage and trade within the alliance. The confederation maintains that its cause is to protect member-states and enforce justice.

Current Member-states:
The Grand Empire of Xolox
The United Socialist States of Zanland
The Armed Republic of Dosh Semiw
The People's Republic of North Korreaa

Current Observer-states:
The Empire of Great Eurussia

If you have any questions concerning the nature of CODI, feel free to ask in this thread. Also, if you wish to apply to join the Confederation, state why you wish to and what you can bring to it.  A vote will be held and 2/3rds majority must vote in favor of your joining for you to be able to.

You do not require a specific ideology. That's the idea of this Confederation, we have decided to set aside these trivialities to allow each nation to have their own "distinct ideology" instead of restricting them to our own. All you need to join is the want of defense, support, and prosperity.

Your request is granted, but we would very much be happy to have you as a full-fledged member, and Dosh Semiw is willing to open diplomacy with you in order to allow for that happen.

Supreme Leader approves Xolox request to join CODI.

Are you required to help a member in a war? Or can you decide against that if you don't want to help them for a reasonable reason?

Well, considering that it is a "Confederation of Distinct Ideologies", I'm sure there will be some very divisive reasons to go war. I guess, in extreme cases, you are allowed to decide to opt out of the war, even if the members deem it just. I think though, that if a war was truly divisive like that, the nation involved wouldn't request help from here, no requests have even been made as of yet and member nations have participated in more than one war since its foundation.

He was referring to my request(through telegram) for him to consider joining. I think, under the right guidance, he can be reigned in a little and taught some civility! Also, the enemy of my enemy(China China) is my friend.

I am in support of North Korreaa joining the confederation.If USS wishes to join as well, I support his request.

For the most part, you can apply this question to the answer I gave to Scouting. Generally, though, I believe that it is of paramount importance to aid allies in defensive wars. Offensive wars would probably be a little more lenient.

By we, we mean Atlantica...

Zanland supports the North Korean entry of the CODI.

I am hereby dissolving this confederation. One of the members is inactive, another will surely leave when he remembers he joined, and I am resigning. That leaves Zanland, who I am sure does not want to remain in it by himself.
