IT DA VERY VERY BAD THING!
Nah, though in all honesty, I believe that "Drugs" should be restricted to only medical purposes. Aside from that, I believe they ALL (Including Synthetic Drugs) should be illegal. That said, I am against giving "Death Penalty" or "Life Imprisonment" for drug trade, possession, use etc. I think the government should do a lot to inhibit the drug trade, but in the end drugs should be considered a low-moderate offense. That said, any actions committed by someone under the influence of drugs (Murder etc.) should be given the full penalty for their crimes, no exception.
P.S. Crimes usually related to the drug trade (Forced Prostitution etc.) should be considered SERIOUS crimes and should carry heavy sentences (including death penalty).

Re: What is your take on marijuana?
very interesting.
you see i live in the Netherlands where everyone above 18 can buy recreational marijuana.
in my opinion this Drug is not as bad as another Drug called alcohol where brain cells die off and can cause liver failure.
however in my country you can buy beer at 16
so is it better to smoke a joint once in a week than Drink till someone goes down??
and what is the danger with marijuana???
and i know i sound like a hippy who wants to try his first joint but really, if you look at the statistics alcohol is a lot more dangerous.
so what should i do?

Re: What is your take on marijuana?
I think alcohol like Beer should be allowed. But heavy alcohol such as tequilas should be restricted to only bars, as they will be able to stop you before you are overly intoxicated.
I dont think we can stop alcoholism, but we should put in an effort to treat it (Free Alcohol Addiction Rehabilitation courses etc.).
Though Artic brought up a good point by saying it causes divorces. I think we should take any domestic issues (Such as family violence) seriously and treat them like a criminal offense. We may not be able to stop divorces, but we will be able to stop the kids and wives getting beat up.

Re: What is your take on marijuana?
Personally, as a doctor, I see more instances of alcohol destroying lives than cannabis.
My father was a police officer in Ann Arbor, and he always said that the prostitution you see in smaller cities or towns is not forced, but people attempting to get money for drugs. Forced prostitution only really occurs in larger cities.

Re: What is your take on marijuana?
I like the US state of Colorado's take on it. Marijuana is legal to people over 21. Marijuana is a relatively very safe drug, and people give it too bad a rap. Alcohol is also over 21 (which is a federal law, so it's 21 everywhere in the US). I think 21 is a decent age to limit it to.
My opinion is that it's your body to do with as you please.

Re: What is your take on marijuana?
I would say that all drugs including alcohol are horrible however I believe that the greatest danger comes from the amount of money that it allows criminal organisations to get from the illegal trade.

Re: What is your take on marijuana?
Legalize it! It being outlawed has barely any affect on its consumption and if it is legalized, it can be taxed. Win-win.
