The House of Nordahl was established by King Eric I in 1657 to differentiate it from the house of previous Aloian rulers, including his father, and to give the Royal Family a more Aloian-sounding name. The previous royal house of Aloia was the House of Koerperich. The House of Nordahl ruled over Aloia for its entire recent history, including the period of the Great Exodus and Unification. When Talos declared itself independent of Aloia, the son of Queen Marina of Aloia, Louis, declared himself king of Talos, establishing the House of Nordahl in Talos.

The only related branch is the House of Acribaldi-Nordahl, of which the descendants of Queen Marina of Aloia are all technically members.

The House Van Vinkel-Van Hoensbroeke-Dampierre is the main branch of the House.
Its origins trace back to the XVI century of the Jahan Era, when Sigismund I Van Vinkel led the first Western knights in Alleskandberg and found Merlberg and the homonymous Marquisate.
The title of Marquis of Merlberg has been the main one for the House Van Vinkel until 1597 J.E., when Sigismund Heinrich II was crowned first King of Tarajan, after the final defeat of the Ajanic Shahdom of Astana at Himeraa two years earlier.
Since then, the Royal Title has been prerogative of this House only.
The House took the actual name in 2013, with the wedding of King Friederick Wilhelm II with Beatrice of Ermeland.

The Coat of Arms of the House represents all the titles and possessions of the Kings of Tarajan during their history.



The House Van Vinkel-Karabak is a cadet branch of the Royal House.
It's possible to find its origins in the very past of the House, since Wilhelm I Van Vinkel restored the old title of Marquis of Merlberg (the ancient Marquesate was indeed elevated to Principality one century earlier, and was still a title reserved to the Kings) for his nephew, Rupert Gustav, as an honorific title. The successors of Rupert Gustav always kept the title, thus assuming the name of Van Vinkel-Merlberg. The actual name of the House has been adopted after King Friederick Wilhelm II gave the title of Landgrave of Sdudeti-Karabak to his cousin, Marquis Conrad Van Vinkel, thus elevating the House as ruling House of the Landgraviate.
After the marriage of Conrad Van Vinkel with Princess Electra of Arveyres, the House becomes Van Vinkel-Karabak-Acribaldi-Romanov, or simply House Karabak, assuming the title of Dukes of Sdudeti-Karabak (with the title of Landgraves reserved to the capital city of Van Janusekstadt).

The House of Vedois is the richest and most powerful of the seven great houses of Marquette, which consist of the following families: Vedois, Savary, Quadros, Labrosse, Moretti, Hazekamp, and Deschamps. The seven great houses were the families who were instrumental in the defeat of the House of Montero during the Marquetien Civil War (1679-1682), which ended with the death of the last member of the House of Montero at the Battle of Pájara.

At the end of the Marquetien Civil War, the Vedois family took the crown and moved the capital from Fuertaventura to Besançon, where it has remained since. The Vedois family is one of the most widely known and respected royal families in the world, with a world-class university in central Besançon named after it.

The current coat of arms of the House of Vedois is that adopted by King René in 1905.

The Royal Coat of arms of King Cole is rarely seen at all, weather publicly or privately, ontop of that not much is known about the Coat of arms other than the Bird was once a very common sight in New Constantinople but later died out, due o heavy industrialization.
