After much debate and discussions, the Eurussian Empire will finally adopt a digital currency for its globally circulated and widely used 'Euro' currency following the passage of a law authorizing the Eurussian Central Bank, under the Ministry of Treasury, to do as such. This was announced as Her Imperial Majesty, Empress Elizabeth II, visited a gold vault depository of the Eurussian Government at Cardiff, Wales where the Empress inspected the vast facility. The existing bills and coins in Euro will soon be phased out under a five-year transition period where the Eurussian Central Bank allotted billions of funds for the registration of all citizens, their biometrics, the production of new high quality identity cards, integration of banking networks and financial systems, subsidies for the technological transition of establishments throughout the country and informational campaign. From then on, Eurussia will become the first country in the world to have fully implemented digital currency.

After five years, the Eurussian Central Bank will stop producing physical currency, particularly Euro banknotes and coins, until their eventual natural phaseout from the Eurussian financial system. A series of top secret database systems are being developed to protect the identity of all Eurussian citizens, aside from the existing ones handling the country's national identity system, and ensure that all future Eurussian ID's, with currency features integrated, will only be used solely by the owner through the highly advanced biometrics and security features. According to the Eurussian Central Bank, the adoption of the digital currency will dramatically change the daily lives of all people in Eurussia forever.

EU MAINLAND EXPANDS IN ATLANTIS

His Excellency, Chancellor Vladimir Putin, announced that the Empress of Great Eurussia issued an imperial decree authorizing the Eurussian Government, through the Eurussian Border Guard of the Eurussian Internal Forces, to install territorial markers on the newly expanded international boundary of Eurussian mainland in Atlantis following the annexation of new vast arable and mountainous lands southwards of the continent which also involved the annexation of an archipelago of islands south of the Duchy of Brittany surrounding the WA Atlantis Neutral Territory. New Rhodinia's planned expansion

Emperor Junius Maximus III and the senate have announced plans to send expeditions to the east in order to establish more elbow room for future projects. Some of these plans include but are not limited to:

- Residential areas
- Dedicated coastline trading posts via sea and land
- Established diplomatic buildings in the southeastern mountain ranges
- Mining projects in said mountain ranges following the discovery of Arcestium
- Territorial unity

A select number of these plans are geared to improve relations with Apepistan, a nearby Roman Alliance member, and encourage a more cooperative atmosphere among the Alliance and other outside nations.

The Loxan administration has deemed fit to expand northwards, into the mountains. These mountains will prove invaluable for Loxan mining operations and will also provide some breathing space for the quickly multiplying Loxan population. Land has also been claimed southwards, in the form of a multitude of peninsulas. The reason for this, aside from population density, is to seize the trade opportunities they provide. Government subsidized housing projects will begin construction in both areas of expansion to accommodate native citizens and an increasing number of immigrants and refugees fleeing war-stricken countries. These moves have also pleased those who believe along of the lines of the "Loxan Manifest Destiny" idea. This is a belief among some Loxans that the power of their beloved Emperor's power should extend across their current continent and the one currently inhabited by the Chinese.

Earlier today the Office of the Lord Chamberlain announced on behalf of His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Willem-Alexander that His Lordship, John Roberts, Duke of Pyatigorsk has been nominated as Chief Justice. Lord Roberts has served the Russian Empire for nearly 20 years. He began his career in Russian Politics in 1995 after getting elected to the State Duma. Where he became famous for fighting for fair justice in a land that had just threw out its Soviet overlords only 5 years ago. In 2000 he was made Attorney General of Russia where he brought on large reforms. He left the State Duma in 2005 after being made Duke of Pyatigorsk and being appointed to the House of Peers. Roberts to this day is the only non-partisan citizen to get elected to the State Duma. He resigned as Attorney General in 2010 after becoming Chief Lord Speaker of the House of Peers. In 2012, Roberts was once again made Attorney General but in 2014 he resigned from Office after Chancellor Mark Rutte supported the Nomination of Dan Presolk a powerful member of the United Russia Party for Chief Justice. Though Presolk was never appointed to the Office. When the newly elected Russian Parliament returns to session On the 1st the House of Peers will vote on whether to appoint Roberts as Chief Justice.

Angela Merkel of the Russian Liberal Democratic Party has announced serious reform in the Ideologies of the Party. Her main point was that the United Russia party being right wing has destroyed Russia. So it is time for the party to switch to the left. Many experts have questioned this move as no party in Russian History has made a switch to the other side of the Political Compass. She said that all other parties in Russia that are left wing have failed because they are either to radical or to weak. But she said that the new Liberal Democratic will lead the Left Wing of Russia. The entire left wing in the State Duma now only hold 44% in stead of 37%, a significant gain.

War in the Gragal Valley Sparks Another Holy War

As the expansion of the Empire continues, the military came across a pagan settlement. In the suing hours, an intense firefight raged on in the Gragal Valley. Military officials say that they came across the small town at around 0423 and were engaged at 0510. Further reports that that the Gragal Valley is home to a couple hundred thousand ethnic pagans called the Mawati. The casualties are unknown at the moment and with the Emperor and Crown Prince away on diplomatic missions, military leaders declared war on the small pagan nation of Mawata in the Gragal Valley that borders with the Artitian Desert. Operation: Exodus was put into effect twelve hours ago. Counter insurgency operations have been on going with intense fighting all around the Gragal Valley. It is suspected that 20,000 Mawati Regulars are being supported by a force of 30,000 irregular fighters. Heavy armor has been called in along with gunships and missile strikes from bases in Northern Artite. Officials have stated that Operation: Exodus is the bloodiest fighting seen in Artite since the Artite Reformation. On his way to Gragal an Imperial Infantryman said that he was "excited and worried" that such internal conflict like this could come straight after the civil war.

With the expansion of the border and hopefully stability finally in the region, the Mawat-Arti War has to come to a swift end and victory for the Artitian military might. The Election Results Are In! Republican Jeb Bush Wins!

With the final election results, Republican Jeb Bush has won the Presidency for the United States of Scouting. With a slim victory of 37% of the votes to Jeb Bush, Jason Cantrell of the National Scouting Party netted in 35%, while Democrat Thomas Schultz only took 21% of the vote. The Independents did make a small showing of 7% going to Arnold Waterstone.

Earlier this hour, President Jeb Bush, was giving a speech at a public park in the Capital City of Atlanta, regarding his lawsuit as a bullet from a sniper's rifle may have hit the President in the arm. The Mercury Highway, also known as Via Arcadia, is a railway construction project proposed by Apepistan for the Roman Alliance. The railway will connect the 3 capital cities of Konzbator, New Ostia and Rofinta, revolutionizing the trade and commerce between the members of the Roman Alliance. Great Eurussia has also shown support of the project, and will pay for 10% of the overall costs. The rest of the finances are going to be divided equally between Apepistan, New Rhodinia and Artite; the estimated cost is about $433.000.000, with each RA member paying $129.900.000, and Eurussia $43.300.000. The estimated time for finishing the project is currently unknown.

NEW KINGDOMS FULLY INTEGRATED

Recently 15 new states have joined the United Kingdoms of Apepistan. The integration and stabilization has instantly begun, and today it finally finished. Ahet-Apep LII was crowned king by all the 15 states, and the Council of the United Kingdoms opened 30 more seats; 2 the delegates of every new kingdom. Discussions about the size of the C.U.K. have instantly begun after the radical increase from 38 to 68 delegates. A proposed solution was that every kingdom would send only 1 delegate from now on; the other side demands that the number of delegates remain the same, as it was for centuries before. The fierce debates about this are still on-going.

The United Council of War was also proposed to be increased in size from 11 to 15 members, which the U.C.W. has instantly vetoed. After the political-administrative integration was complete, the U.C.W. is planning to completely reorganize and modernize the armies and equipment of the 15 new states.

After Unemployment hit a 10 year high Chancellor Mark Rutte was forced to resign as leader of the United Russia and thus making him resign as Chancellor. This also comes after an end to 15 years of constant economic growth that stopped in the middle of his term. Mark Rutte leaves office with an approval rating of 43% the lowest of any head of government official since the collapse of the Soviet Regime in 1990.

Mark Rutte wrote:"In 2010 when I took office. I promised to help this nation grow. I promised that the economy would become one of the worlds best. Sadly I failed you on this remark. In stead of growing our economy fell from $35 trillion to $31 trillion. And unemployment rose from 4.2% to 5.62%. It is easy to say this was an unsuccessful term.And for the most part that is correct.Taxes are still high, the military has faced major cuts,the average salary has also dropped. And worker enthusiasm is down. I failed this nation. And I take full sole responsibility for the state of the nation. I leave office knowing I will be remembered in shame."

Emperor Willem-Alexander was wary of accepting the resignation with his term ending in less than a month. But he respected the will of the people and accepted the resignation. He even called for elections.

Elections

With Mark Rutte resigning as Chancellor, Emperor Willem-Alexander called for elections. This will be the 6th General Election in the Kingdoms 25 year history. But this election comes with new guidelines. The Emperor demanded that United Russia choose a new leader or they wont be able to run. And he outright banned the Communist Party from running telling them that they can reform under a new party with different views. The Communist Party of Russia is the same party that ruled the nation from 1917-1990. The newly reformed Liberal Democratic Party is expected to gain most of the seats. Though many people also expect United Russia to keep control.

History:Enda Kenny was elected to the State Duma in 2005 on a United Russia ticket. He quickly rose to prominence by criticizing the current Chancellor Brian Cowen who was also a member of the United Russia for not giving recognition to the 15 men and women that were killed in a bombing committed by the Communist Auxiliary Brigade. He became known for standing for Social Justice, and pushing for economic reform. In 2010 he was elected Chairman of the State Duma but resigned 6 months later to become Minister of Social Reform but in 2013 the office was dissolved so Enda Kenny returned as a normal member of the State Duma. Enda Kenny is also expected to be the one that saved United Russia from collapse in 2010 but this is not known.

Name: Angela Merkel

Party: Liberal Democrats

History:Angela Merkel is possibly one of Russia's Oldest Political Veterans. In 1985 she was arrested for opposing the Communist Government. She was released in 1989 when the Communist Regime became significantly weaker. She was elected to the State Duma in 1995 running as leader of the newly formed Liberal Democrats. Due to the Liberal Democrats never gaining more than 55 seats Merkel was never part of the leadership. But she was Vice-Chancellor from May 2010 to January 2011 where she learned many leadership skills. She became even more popular by announcing Party Reform in late 2014.

Name: Gennady Zyuganov

Party: Communist Party of the Russian Empire

[center]History:Gennady Zyuganov is known as a very charismatic man. He is the only member of the State Duma to have been serving since 1990. And before that from 1983-1987 he served on the Red Council,the Supreme Legislative Authority of Soviet Russia.[center]

Elections are set to take place on the 17th of January.
