The Ministry of Economy today confirmed that the Orbital Elevator, pillar (literally) of the Orbital Solar Array Project (OSAP), probably the most ambitious technological project of history, has been finally completed.
The immense pillar, which will connect directly the land with the Copernicus Space Station has been the result of the joint efforts of New Tarajan and Antanares under the aegis of RESEGI, the organization for the development and promotion of renewable and sustainable energy sources in the world promoted by Astana.
"This is a great day, for all mankind. Right now, we have set up another milestone in the technological progress of Humanity. There is much New Tarajan and Antanares can be proud of, today." said King Friederick Wilhelm, who decided to personally address the Landsraad on the subject: "We will continue our work, toward the implementation of the OSAP. The construction of the first solar arrays has already began. What we now hope for, is to include more and more countries in this great project, for the benefit of all."
And, indeed, the construction is continuing very fast. Thanks to the completion of the Elevator, which is based on an island owned by Europe, it will be easy to send materials and staff to keep the project going on.

Prime Minister Esther Farah Rumaki, who took the word in front of the Landsraad after the King opening speech, instead, expressed the position of the Royal government toward the recent rumors of Newellia's will of secession from Eurussia: "It is the deepest concern of the government of this country to avoid the worsening of such kind of a delicate situation. For this reason, we invite all the International Community to avoid rash judgements over the issue, leaving the time to Eurussia, and eventually to Newellian authorities, to clarify the situation by themselves."
She continued stating that: "Of course New Tarajan has been always a deep supporter of the right of people to self-determination and freedom, thanks to our own specific history, which allowed us to develop a deep sensibility over these issues. But, exactly for this reason, we believe that the worst thing which could happen right now, would be a radicalization of the secessionist positions. Such an event would only provoke retaliation from the authorities, thus creating a dangerous, potentially explosive, escalation. Luckily enough, we are sure that the Eurussian government will know how to handle with this issue, while it is the duty of the International Community to watch carefully in order to ensure that all its members enjoys their rights."
An extremely sedate speech, which, however, shows clearly, for its own nature, what is the real concern of New Tarajan: to find a balance between right to self-determination and stability. It's highly unprobable that Astana will see favourably another kind of Farshonian civil war. The diplomacy of the Kingdom has already demonstrated its intention: to find a balance which could allow the preventive resolution of conflict through mediation. New Tarajan is tired of civil wars and secessionist conflicts spreading out all over the world.

Moreover, New Tarajan is also showing the intention to exploit at the best level the opportunities opened by the recent diplomatic and political outcome of the succesful resolution of the Farshonian conflict in Astana.
Prime Minister Rumaki, indeed, will leave Astana this evening for the beginning of a diplomatic tour of the world, the first of her career as Prime Minister. The official goal is to strengthen the relations of New Tarajan with all the major world stakeholders, negotiating a new series of economic and financial agreements, establishing more strong political ties, particularly in order to enhance the efficacy of the work of New Tarajan as President of the WA Council.
An incredible opportunity for the Kingdom, but also for Prime Minister Rumaki herself. Succeeded to former PM Conrad Van Vinkel after the "Summer Crisis" and an attempted coup operated by some fringes of the military, Esther Farah Rumaki (now Princess) was the choice of King Friederick to keep the Blue Party in a leading position, while focusing more on internal matters (she was Minister of the Economy at the time, a position she kept until the appointment of Countess Van Aardenne). But the "creature of the King", as some analysts and political commentators defined her, has now become far more used to the harsh world of politics.
The best significance of this tour, is exactly this: the Prime Minister is ready to take on the role of representative of the Kingdom abroad (a role that King Friederick, a skilled diplomat, has succesfully performed until now). EU GREETS PM OF ST. PHILIPSBURG

His Excellency, Michael Bloomberg, the Prime Minister of Saint Philipsburg, accompanied by his top government ministers, arrived today in Moscow for his first and official State Visit to the Eurussian Empire aimed on formalizing diplomatic ties and expanding business opportunities. He was greeted by Her Excellency, Condoleezza Rice, Minister of Foreign Affairs, with military honours at the airport, who accompanied the visiting prime minister to the Imperial Kremlin Palace where His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Akihito, formally welcomed the Prime Minister of Saint Philipsburg to the Eurussian Empire. A private dinner was later held for the prime minister and his delegation which was joined by members of the Imperial Family.

The isolationist state of Yuktobania has had massive riots and coup attempts turning into a civil war over the past few months and now the civil war has succeeded. The new regime has named the country to Chernarusia (Chernarusian ChKDZ) led by the new President Taras Kozub. The old capital of Cinigrad has been left in ruins since the riots and the eventual civil war that had taken place. The new capital is Novigrad and the rebuilding of Cinigrad is progressing slowly.

Chernarusia looks forward to possible friendly relations with nearby nations and hopes for no threats.

Prime Minister Esther Farah Rumaki landed early this morning in the capital city of the Federation of Antanares, Velikogovolka, first step of her "diplomatic tour" all around the globe.
Welcomed at the airport by a delegation of the Bruma and Council of the Prince, the Prime Minister then had a long series of talks with important representatives of the Antanaresian government and, finally, with the Prince himself.
"What is emerging right now is that our relations are strongest then ever" commented a satisfied Prime Minister during a speech delivered in front of the Bruma: "New Tarajan and Antanares are two of the most powerful countries of the world, with strong, interconnected economies and a projection on a global scale. We have built an incredible link between us: we have a strong alliance, we are partners in every organization and institution, and we're directly involved in the construction of the most impressive and ambitious project in mankind's history, the OSAP." she said.
And, indeed, the choice of Antanares as first place to visit has not be casual: on one side, it's a long-standing Tarajani tradition; but, on the other, it reflects what is an unavoidable fact: New Tarajan and Antanares enjoys an incredible level of relations, on every field, at every level.
Moreover, this visit has been also a test-field for the Prime Minister, and the result is brilliant: welcomed in a very warm way by the Antanaresians, all the most important figures of the Federation demonstrated an high esteem of Princess Rumaki, confirmed also by comments of Bruma delegates after her speech. Minister for Foreign Affairs, Jan Van Egeland-Sondenburg, in the meanwhile, in a press conference expressed the "deep concerns of the Royal Government over the recent revolution in former Yuktobania."
The establishment of a revolutionary, communist-inspired regime cannot find New Tarajan less then "worried for the future of the area, and of the country itself."
But, at the same time, and with an surprisingly move, the Minister declared that "The main goal of New Tarajan is to ensure peace, order and stability: if the new Chernarusian government can demonstrate to be a valid, responsible actor in achieving these three goals, then, New Tarajan is ready to open diplomatic relations and even to aid them."
It seems that the times of Conrad III and IV are definitely gone. However, as said by the Minister, the good attitude of New Tarajan toward the new regime is conditioned to its willingness to be a responsible actor: another demonstration of the fact Astana is sick and tired of oppressive, warmongering regimes.
However, rumors from the Ministry seem to confirm that the Royal Council is also ready to invite in Astana the leadership of the new regime, if they will demonstrate such a commitment.
It is now to see what Chernarus will do.

In a recent move by the Chrysler Group and Eurussian Investment Corporation, the companies have together created a new car company aimed at the Eurussian Market. The new car company is called Subaru and prides itself not on power, like it's Kiwi Rivals, but on efficiency and traction. Where many cars have struggled to perform in the Eurussian environment, particularly it's gruelling winters, Subaru promises to keep on going. Previous Chrysler Group attempts by Dodge and Chrysler have all resulted in market failures, why? Cause come winter, the Dodge is just sitting in the Eurussian driveway spinning it's wheels, going absolutely nowhere. However, Subaru with it's uniquely formulated "Symmetric All Wheel Drive" has proven it's ability to deliver on it's winter performance in multiple prototype tests completed in the NZ Alps in Chrysler's "Winter Testing Facility".

The company is to be 51% Chrysler owned, and 49% Eurussian Investment Corporation owned. Currently it's key market is set to be Eurussia, but it's models will be made available worldwide to all nations with Chrysler Group retailers. The Eurussian Investment Corporation is also set to buy 49% shares of Fiat Motor's and Fiat Professional, both existing Chrysler Group companies based in Eurussia.

Chrysler Moves In For the Kill?

As General Motors comes under economic hardship due to the struggling Irish economy, the Chrysler Group has moved in to deliver one more blow to GM. The Pentastar has dropped 10% off the sale price of all it's models for a limited time offer, however the limit is not yet specified. That coupled with Subaru's introduction to the Eurussian market means the Pentastar now holds strong footing in the global market, maintaining an effective monopoly in majority of the world's key automobile markets. This coupled with the government's direct involvement with the Pentastars affairs ensured that the Chrysler Group always had the upper hand when coming into the international market, especially in it's ability to undercut it's competition. Currently in total 71% of all Chrysler Group manufacturing efforts are in New-Zealand, with 53% of all Chrysler sold cars being 100% made in New-Zealand. In summary, to Social Democracy solely accounts for 39% of the world automobile market and supports 58% of the global automobile market. Nevertheless, the 1 remaining hurdle standing between the Pentastar and it's global monopoly is none other than General Motors Corporation, the world #2 in terms of automobile sales, however the gap between #1 (Chrysler) and #2 is quite a large one. Ontop of this, the only market completely untouched by the Chrysler Group is the Marquetten one, which till this day refuses to allow the "Socialist Made" Chrysler Group cars any inroad into their market. However, the Social Democracy was in talks with the Catham Islands into allowing Chrysler a back door entry into this market.

In other news, Johnsonville has officially changed it's name to Detroit, in remembrance of mayor Robert Detroit, who brokered a deal with the then Holden Group which saw the up and coming Automotive giant declare the small township it's official home. Since then the Chrysler Group has employed hundreds of thousands and changed the small township into a bustling industrial metropolis that houses 4.3 Million and accounts for 12% of the Social Democracy GDP, making it the 2nd largest NZ city in terms of both population and GDP. The city now proudly calls itself the Motor City, a term given to it by Eurussian based Global Economic Institution, the worlds most reputed economic analysts.

During one of the Chrysler Groups latest advertisements, a designer is seen to be designing new models, a show of the Pentastars creativity and ingenuity in an ad called "It's not what you do, it's how you do it". However a screenshot of this particular scene shows the car being designed to be carrying a Holden badge. Sparking speculations from the automotive community that the Chrysler group is planning to bring back the iconic Automobile manufacturer "Holden". This ties in with the Chrysler Groups tweet on new years that stated "We've got a big surprise in store for everyone this year, we're not going to ruin the surprise though ;-)". However, this has not yet been confirmed, but hopefully the Chrysler Group will put us all out of our misery and end the suspense soon.

The NZ Economy continued on it's positive growth trend as it continues on it's controlled transition from a planned "Socialist" economy to a true "Social Democracy" style mixed market "Nordic" style economy. Such changed involved in this transition include the creation of multiple new free trade agreements with other nations, and the encouragement of a private market alongside foreign investment. Furthermore, the government has vowed to take a more liberal attitude to trade and economic relations, primarily the government's willingness to create open trade with Catham Islands, whose mining industry is set to mop the floor with it's Kiwi rivals, however, the cheaper minerals are set to benefit the industrial market of the Social Democracy, so in theory jobs will not be lost, only reassigned. However, productivity and profit will go up.

Similarily, the Social Democracy is also in talks with China over a possible free trade agreement with them, one that will prove extremely beneficial to Fonterra, however, at the expense of the plastics industry of the Social Democracy. Thankfully, the plastics industry was never that big to begin with.

New commitments for the foreign policy of the European Government.
Once the situation has stabilized Farshonia, even and especially thanks to the military and humanitarian intervention of the international community (and of the regional organization), with whom it was possible to avoid security risks and avert a humanitarian catastrophe.
In addition, the road map towards parliamentary democracy continues without any major hitches, and inviolable human rights were formally guaranteed the entire population.
European diplomacy has therefore decided to set in motion to formalize and stabilize the now close relationships with Farshonia, and to revive the investment plan, stuck a few weeks ago after the rising tensions in the nation.

The European delegation, composed of the President of the Republic, Ezio Auditore, of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Martin Schultz, of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Mario Draghi, and of the Ministry of Defense, Anders Rasmussen.

The content of the treaties seems clear, however, is a strengthening and a formalization of economic relations between the two nations.

First, there is a greater diplomatic cooperation, with the creation of a network of embassies and with the establishment of a permanent meeting between the two governments, to be activated in case of need, the Europe & Farshonia Council.

From the military point of view, there is a mutual cooperation (sharing of technology, industry collaboration, bilateral exercises), with a commitment to peacefully resolve bilateral issues, the obligation to mutual defense in the event of external attack and the creation of European Permanent Military Detachments in Farshonia (E.P.M.D. - Farshonia).
There is also the establishment of a counter-terrorism policy closer mutual and cooperative.

Then, from the economic point of view, there is the creation of a free trade area, with the elimination of tariffs on imports and the freedom of movement of goods and services.
Also planned is the liberalization of reciprocal investments, whether from public or private companies.
Finally, it is expected the freedom of movement of persons, with the elimination of barriers to immigration to each other, for European citizens and those of Fashonia.

But let's get to productive investments in the nation.
They come from the European Investment Bank (the investment bank of the government), in particular from the Fund for Foreign Strategic Investments, a kind of investment fund government to conduct abroad.
It is estimated to amount to several tens of billions.

Will be based on the direct acquisition of the actions of the main industries of the country, in all economic sectors, thereby ensuring a degree of control over these companies.
This will make it possible to invest huge amount of money, thus ensuring industrial development and the full return of capital through dividends.
For smaller companies there will be direct investments, which are gradually being returned via interest rates, which, however, are very low and dwelt in time, so as not to oppress the businesses.
Public investment in the country will serve as a guide for equally massive private investment, based on the parterships with local companies or by creating production sites directly on the ground.

The European Government finance directly to the local government with loans at interest rates very low and dilungate over time (so as not to oppress the local taxpayers), aimed at expanding the governmental structure.
In particular, they will be directed to an expansion of services offered to the population (such as education, health, etc..) and the improvement of the security apparatus.
A good amount will be directed to investments for the development of enterprises and the expansion and upgrading of the infrastructure network.
The Government will provide advice to the management of the funds, which will be traceable at any time and suspendable in case of corruption or erroneous charges.

In short, the political and economic analysts have good reason to believe that the investment policy and the bilateral treaties will bring economic growth and prosperity for both nations.

Mass Production of Arms

The arms industry in within the new Chernarusian ChKDZ has begun mass production of the new model assault rifle, AK-107. This has a light weight design using synthetic materials such as black fiberglass-reinforced polymer to reduce weight and cost. It chambers the 5.56mm round and one sells for around $300 due to the high amount being produced. With the lack of a central market within Chernarusia, these weapons get out on the black market easily and since the continued dis-organization of the Military and police force, they easily are getting out of the country through one mean or the other. The old YAF (Yuktobanian Arms Factory Company) sites have been reported back in service after the Civil War and are producing these weapons by the truck-load.

Increasing Chernarusian Economy

Since the end of the Civil War and the establishment of the ChKDZ regime, the economy had tanked and hit a low that seemed impossible to recover from. Due to the continued reforms, the trade is no longer in a deficit and the country is making money. It is calculated that Chernarus is making C$ 56,924,568 and is continually increasing. This prosperity has brought about the quick reconstruction of many sites damaged in the civil war, such as the Excalibur Installation, and new construction projects.

Tri-E Energy Founded: Plans to become Major Supplier of Electrical Power

Today the Planitan Government announced the founding of the Tri-E Energy Corporation centered in the Republic of Liberia. The company (which is the different company that the preexisting Tri-E Corporation) has been announced it will specialize in nuclear Molten Salt Reactors (MSR). It is hinted that the company plans to be a major supplier of clean, safe and, affordable energy.

The company announced the details plans for nations who want to buy MSRs. The plans include small 50 Megawatt reactors to large 1000 Megawatt MSRs. Another plan included putting small 50 Megawatt MSR on a mobile barge that can be towed to a remote site and anchored along the shore. The MSRs on the barge can send energy to the local power grid. The company also noted two different payment options for potential buyers. One, they can buy it up front and the company will send the construction materials and engineers to the buyer, or the buyer can rent out a MSR when which the company will construct and maintain the reactor on the buyer’s soil. For the mobile barge, a buyer has the same options to buy or to rent it out. The company is already seeking first buyers.

SAN FRANCISCO, Aloia == The period of union is over. In a referendum of all Genolians, the Genolians have chosen independence as a republic over continued membership in the Imperial Union of Aloia, Genolia, and the Kingdom of Talos. Genolia will become a republic, and a constitutional convention is scheduled to take place soon in Ottawa.

For the time being, Aloia will still manage Genolia's foreign relations, but Genolia will eventually take it over as they become more independent of Aloia. The House of Nordahl will no longer be the Royal Family of Genolia, but will still reign over Aloia and Talos, through Marina and Louis, respectively. This event has met mixed reactions in Aloia and Genolia, with many Genolians celebrating their perceived liberation from Aloia, while some Genolians also worry about what this means for their nation's future, now that they're being severed from Aloia.

Some Aloians are upset that the Genolians are leaving their nation, but popular sovereignty is a common belief among Aloians, so most Aloians are glad for their Genolian brethren finally regaining sovereignty.

Today the Leaders of Chernarusia, Dromoda, Ivania, and the United Earth Conclave have met in the Palace of the Workers in Atlas, U.E.C. They had met to come to create the greater alliance of the Communists International (Comintern) which was proposed by Taras Kozub, President of Chernarusia. The day for the politicians was a long one as the terms were ironed out and the historic location was chosen to hold such an honor creating the Comintern. The day ended with the signing of the agreement by all 4 leaders within the Palace of Workers and the grand applause of approval with the creation of the alliance.

Alliance Terms:

A Military Parade was held in all participant capitals to show the true patriotism to the people and the governments. The parades consisted of the best of that nations troops on parade duty for the day throughout the capital with the people onlooking and cheering with the glory of their nation, and the new glory to come with the Alliance. The heat is on as the Week One of the NATO Games concluded today where thousands of spectators continues to attend the different events simultaneously held throughout Moscow to throw their cheers and supports of their national teams who competed now for the 20 sports and its 20 events since the first day. Prime Minister Esther Farah Rumaki finally arrived in Shirouma, third step of her extremely succesful "diplomatic tour", which has already helped consolidating strong and long-standing relations, like the ones with Antanares and Aloia.

And Prime Minister Rumaki took the occasion also to speak about the recent decision of the Chernarusian government to create a new alliance of communist regimes, the Comintern.
"New Tarajan is concerned by such a move." she said "Not for the alliance in itself, but for its content: the idea to intervene in order to help establishing communist regimes in the world is potentially highly destabilizing. As a responsible actor of the International Community, we wish that the new alliance will soon change its program on this point. We need peace, cooperation and stability, not a race to regime changes."
The Prime Minister also said that the Tarajani government is however "reassured by the presence of Dromoda, an ally and, above all, a good member of the International Community, in the Comintern. We are sure that its presence will avoid any further complications. We are ready to establish good relations with Chernarus and, thus, also with the alliance, if they're willing to demonstrate their good intentions."
