(Rejected) Democratic Equality Amendment
I, Aloia, having been inspired by the proposed (but unsuccessful) Constitutional Referendum authored by New-Zealand, put before the honorable Security Council an amendment to the World Alliance Constitution that will eliminate the permanent SC seat for the Founder, Great Eurussia.
I do this out of no disrespect for Great Eurussia, rather I commend that nation for their behavior as founder this far, and I do this all in the name of equality and our democratic system. I recognize that any permanent, irreplaceable position in government undermines true democracy and having this position has led nations to feel they needed to leave the World Alliance.
OOC: As New Zealand so accurately stated, "Please excuse the 'colloquial language' used by me in the proposal. Obviously, when each clause is enacted in the Constitution, formal language will be used." NZ's words apply for this proposal as well.

Therefore, I recommend that we strike down this clause in order for our great World Alliance to not only survive, but to thrive.Clause Affected : "Founder who shall serve as a permanent member with veto power"

Eurussian Position
IC:
The Eurussian Government believes that the permanent seat of the Founder to the Security Council explicitly granted by the WA Constitution is just a de facto seat in honor for being the Founder of the World Alliance and not detrimental or going against the principles of democracy.
And the veto power accompanying it is a last resort against any abusive nations who will try to use the honorable Security Council to their advantage and bring chaos to our peace loving region.
Instead, our Government is even promoting for granting our WA Delegate a de facto seat in the Security Council to represent all World Assembly Members and in honor of being the WA Delegate having the most endsorsements in the region. We believe that the veto power should be regulated specifically to well defined emergency cases and shouldn't be stripped of universally.
Our Government would also like to reiterate that we even pushed as well for granting the elected Presidency a veto power to no avail during the constitutional convention. Hence, we hope it could be deliberated again. And we further highlight the fact that the WA Constitution has granted the Presidency vast executive and legislative powers that should be utilized by a dedicated and responsible World Alliance leadership. And belie various claims that the Founder possesses vast powers which is definitely not true and purely baseless.
Hence, Eurussia withholds its vote for the time being.
Re: (Rejected) Democratic Equality Amendment
I vote in favor, but would like to express my interest in formulating a whole new constitution altogether. One that scraps the SC system for a more parliamentary or senatorial system.
Eurussian Vote
Eurussia votes AGAINST citing the passage calling for a Constitutional Convention. Hence, citing the impossibility to have a unanimous approval for this resolution as required by the constitution, this resolution is deemed rejected.
