(Dismissed) Shirouma Presidency Succession
As the Founder of the World Alliance, Eurussia informs the honourable Security Council that our duly elected President of the World Alliance, SHIROUMA, has tendered his resignation due to (OOC) commitment to military service. However, he assured us of his comeback after three months of military training.
However, this resignation resulted to a constitutional question since there is no constitutional provision specifying presidential resignation nor any regional law regarding a resignation of a President which is also a Council Member at the same time.
SEVENTH SECURITY COUNCIL ELECTION
Official Election Results#01 = Shirouma - 16 - (SH,NZ,KB,HPS,EA,NT,AL,CI,DN,IV,AN,DR,GG,AQ,YL,EU)#02 = New Zealand - 15 - (NZ,SH,KB,HPS,EA,NT,HZ,USE,AN,DN,AL,IV,CI,GG,AQ)#03 = Aloia - 11 - (AL,MQ,HPS,AN,HZ,NZ,EA,DR,YL)#04 = Holy Patrician States - 9 - (HPS,EA,AL,MQ,SH,CI,NZ,DR,EU)#05 = Ivania - 7 - (IV,SH,HZ,NZ,EA,HPS,DR)
#06 = Yellasia - 7 - (MQ,HZ,EA,CI,DR,YL,EU)#07 = Marquette - 6 - (MQ,HPS,AL,CI,DN,YL)#08 = Europe - 5 - (USE,MQ,NZ,AN,EU)
#09 = Catham Islands - 3 - (MQ,CI,SH)
#10 = New Tarajan - 4 - (AL,AN,SH,EU)#11 = Andrewpublia - 1 - (AP)#12 = Kulon Bangsa - X - (Withdrawn)
Thus, we are left with the constitutional rule saying that when a Council Member resigns, the President shall nominate a replacement and the Security Council approves it. Now, as the Founder, Eurussia suggests that all of us, having equal powers in the Council, may or may not come up with a nomination, within or outside the Council, then to be voted upon by the Council.
Or we could just pass a law on succession.

With my typical juridical-friendly attitude (ok, I'm crazy), I suggest to pass a law on succession, even if I support your idea to proceed with the election of a new provisional president. But, for the future, we have to avoid such problems.

MESSAGE FROM MODERATOR : You are not a member of the WA Security Council. Please refrain from posting on the SC page until you are (if you are) elected into office.

I nominate New Zealand for president. He got the second most votes and has the most experience as president so it makes sense for him to serve as president.
Re: (Dismissed) Shirouma Presidency Succession
We also nominate New-Zealand. We feel he is the most capable out of members of the Security Council.

Ivania nominates NZ, as they had the second most votes.
