The Federated Commonwealth of Notreland seeks admittance into the International Green Party

Welcome!Notreland wrote:The Federated Commonwealth of Notreland seeks admittance into the International Green Party
Come on squad, time to get your votes in!
Re: (IGP) International Green Party
I propose that we vote for WARP because if we don't I feel that WADSP will be over-represented.
As our secondary vote of course.
Edit: On a second thought, a lot of Socialists are voting for us. Maybe a smaller party that we share similar ideologies with so we don't ruin any potential cooperation with either of the two major parties?

I'd like to see the CDI in the Parliament, so I don't have a bias towards the WARP or the WASDP.Yellasia wrote:I propose that we vote for WARP because if we don't I feel that WADSP will be over-represented.

Re: (IGP) International Green Party
Congratulations fellow Greens! We have gained four seats in the Parliament! So how would we allot the seats? The seniority and activity clause?
I propose the following caucus:
*Yellasia
*Aloia
*Arveyres
*Husqvarnia

As leader of the International Green Party, Yellasia approves of this caucus:
To my fellow Greens, I still think we should establish a proper selection system for the next election and I would like to seek greater party collaboration to ensure that just because you're not in Parliament doesn't mean you're not in Parliament.

Eurussia, seeks the help and support of your Party on our proposal to make our only Moon, as a peaceful area of cooperation of all nations of the world. We also seek your help in sharing your ideas for the good of the proposal which will affect us all. Thank you.
I have used old proposals and real life Moon Treaties to perfect this law for all of you :-)Re: (IGP) International Green Party
I wish to inform the Party that the International Intervention Regulation Act is actually going under vote in the Parliament.
Please, vote in favour of this important piece of legislaton, aiming at finally providing the World Alliance Organizations with a first regulatory framework!
Thank you!

We thank you for coming to us for our support, but in the future: could all parties refrain from shamelessly advertising their bills on our thread. The clutter is much not needed when we can simply look under the parliament thread for ourselves. Thank you.New Tarajan wrote:I wish to inform the Party that the International Intervention Regulation Act is actually going under vote in the Parliament.

As for the remainder of the party, I suggest we begin a formal summit to discuss the way that we can elect those who will be in the next parliamentary elections. We also need to contact Yellasia to update the front page with an updated caucus list, the current list stands as follows:
IGP (International Green Party) Caucus
Yellasia
Aloia
Lonbonia
Husqvarnia
Eltebena
Planita
Ranji ya Magani
Socialist American Nations
Notreland
Havenburgh
Member count: 10
Yellasia
Aloia
Lonbonia
Husqvarnia
Eltebena
Planita
Ranji ya Magani
Socialist American Nations
Notreland
Havenburgh
Member count: 10
I'm counting Lonbonia as a member even though I never saw him officially on the caucus, yet his application was noticed by a member. I'm also assuming he is still a member due to him never posting on any other party page.
Thanks,
- Arveyres
Long live the Green Party

Re: (IGP) International Green Party
I say we should begin by asking if there are any nations which do not wish to take part in the WA Parliament. If there are any, please notify us on the thread when the ballot is being created.
As for a mechanism of election, I propose a cumulative voting system. This system would encompass a ballot with the names of each candidate and each member would be allocated x amount of votes. (The amount of votes allotted will be tantamount to the number of candidates.) Each member will distribute their share of votes in any way the like.
Then, once each ballot is collected, we can elect the nations with the most votes total into our parliament seats. I believe this is the most fair and plausible method, because of the amount of people we're working with and how many of those actually get elected.

Re: (IGP) International Green Party
I am updating the caucus list, including Havenburgh.
I like the proposed cumulative voting system; though we should discuss it further before making it official as the next election is far off.
I also think we should make it common practice to discuss each bill that is proposed to parliament and the council; that way the entire party can participate and we can act as a more unified group.
