Under the Prison Labor Act prisoners who are classed medium or low security risk over the age of 18 and open to both genders are given the option to serve their sentence on one of the tobacco plantations in the city-state of Immaculata. While voluntary prisoners can receive remissions of their sentence while working off their debt to society they are fed, clothed and house by the plantation owners.

This program has been a success with easing of prisoner numbers in prisons across the nation and reducing the money tax payers contribute to the prison system.

The Antebellum Party and WP Aristocracy Party applauded the renewal as a victory for the economy while the minority Socialist Party led by Eddie Rox-Indi condemmed the Prison Labor Act as exploitation and nothing more than a fancy term for slavery.

APEPISTANI MILITARY INTRODUCES NEW TECHNOLOGY

Military researchers of the United Forces of Apepistan have developed and introduced a new technology that has the potential to save civilian lives in armed conflicts and further increase precision stiking technology, these are called NL-WB-s, or, Non-Lethal Warning-Bombs. The new inventions are the following:

1. NL-WB01., nicknamed "Roof Knockers", are non-lethal bombs that explode with huge noise. They are meant to be dropped on rooftops of facilities or storage sites where civilians are present. The noise created by the explosion and the minor kinetic force shaking the buildings roof warns civilians from the impending aerial attack. It can be configured aswell to act as a guide for the actual missile to ensure maximum precision.

2. NL-WB02., or "Whistler", is a type of non-lethal bomb that explodes mid-air, with a loud, high-pitched whistling sound that lasts for several seconds, and is followed by a flashbang. This bomb was developed to be used in open spaces, on in areas where there are several buildings and a single "Roof Knocker" wouldn't be effective. The NL-WB02 can not be configured to act as a homing beacon for the actual missile attack, as it explodes mid-air.

The United Forces of Apepistan have also added that the "timing" of the actual missile strike is completely free to set, and only depends on the launch difference between the NL-WB and the missile. Thus, it can be set from basically a couple of seconds to up to several minutes, allowing the civilians of the area to move to shelter or evacuate.

The U.F.A. added that, since these inventions are made to save civilian lives, the United Kingdoms of Apepistan will be producing them for other nations to purchase, and is also willing to sell the license, for a very low price. Both types of NL-WB-s underwent several tests, but are not tested yet in live combat situation.

Apepistan hopes that these inventions will minimize civilian deaths in armed conflicts, but asks nations who intend to deploy them in the future against using them as weapons of psychological warfare.

Parliament Passes Religious Freedom Act

The Irish Parliament passed DB#12(Dail Bill #12) a.k.a. the Religious Freedom Act of 2015. The bill was presented in early March with an original intent to dissolve of the National Council on Religion, a non-profit organization expressing a need for stronger religious freedoms. After weeks of debate and amending the bill officially hit the Dail Floor were it passed 94-72.

"This bill does not discriminate. It ends discrimination on religion. This bill will make it harder for the government t get involved with religion. Effectively dividing church and state. Leading to a more fair and equal society. This bill allows citizens to practice whichever religion they want and feel safe doing so. We are a nation of accepting different ideals. This bill will only further that. Not stop it." said Sinn Fein Deputy Leader Mary Lou McDonald.

The Bill was then sent to the President where he addressed religious discrimination as a major problem in Ireland.

"Our nation has been known to accept many different beliefs. But when you combine beliefs it does not always lead to peace between religions. This problem has became increasingly significant due to the rise of Islam and Christianity. Islam now has 82 million and Christianity has 85 million in Ireland. And these types of numbers don't always lead to something good. Religions clash and it seems the government makes it worse. With the signing of this bill, the government will pull all support from religion. We shall allow both public and private institutions to open that are religious. Something never allowed before. But be warned of religious clashes leads to bloody violence the police officers will step up their game to solve these conflicts."

President Burgsman signed the bill on April 10th at 9:30 PM.

King Ferdinand thinking of invasion?

A leaked document was circulated by newspapers and many news stations allegedly revealing a possible plan of King Ferdinand to issue a royal decree to change the country's status of neutrality into an aggressive one. This created national controversy because the kingdom is not yet prepared for war because it has weak military and only relies on foreign power for national defense. This issue is because of the rising problems of the government and the King because of the growing population, there is no more land in the country. The spokesperson of the King denied the leaked document and said it is just a false news created by the enemies of the King to bring him down now he has control of the kingdom. This also could cause problem to many nations because the kingdom has a seat in the powerful Security Council of World Alliance.

Following the threat of nuclear radiation coming from the north of the Duchy of Orenburg, due to the unexpected nuclear explosion in the Kingdom of Shlask which was heavily and publicly condemned by the Defense Ministry, His Excellency, Chancellor Vladimir Putin, announced the full declaration of martial law over the Duchy of Orenburg, by virtue of an imperial decree issued by the Empress of Great Eurussia, and the mobilization of the Eurussian Internal Forces to evacuate, as much as possible, all the civilians in the island duchy. All the seaports and airports throughout the duchy were ordered to stop normal operations and all merchant ships and civilian flights inbound to the duchy were immediately cancelled while all outbound cargo vessels and commercial flights were required to carry as many people as possible. The announcement was made by the Eurussian Chancellor while he was in one of the emergency operations center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Serenarea to Increase Defense Budget By 21%

The National Senate and Pro-Counsul Junkin has just passed a new official federal budget after months of gridlock and political war. The new budget will focus on increasing the budget of government relief and support programs, increasing the defense budget, and increasing taxes and reducing the size of the federal workforce to make up for the deficit. The defense budget is to be increased by 21%, the largest increase in the defense budget in over a century during a time of peace. This increase was decided after the integration of Uzukima, deteriorating military bases and openings in the defense of the nation. The state is expected to increase the size of the navy tremendously and steadily increase the number of military bases within the nation.
