EU ANNOUNCES FIRST SC MEMBERS



The Eurussian Government has officially announced the members of the First Security Council after a long and tumultous battle to pass the regional constitution and the historic elections with the highest voter nations turnout in history and even the first international election run off. These member states will serve until February 28, 2012.

Water is the lifeblood for daily survival, from drinking and washing to growing food. But for many people in Songhai-Maghreb, that lifeblood is far from plentiful in the desert region. An estimated 10,000 children die every year from the lack of clean drinking water.

In the interest of the LOHN and the cessation of suffering, Professor Tenzin Yun and associate Tetsugen Kuroda see way to end that suffering. The professor from the University of Shangri-la Institute for Aerospace Studies envisions building a mammoth pipeline to deliver water to 16 million residents of the parched nation that lie immediately south of the Shifting-Sands desert on Shambhalas border. “It’s a megaproject but it’s doable,” says Tetsugen Kuroda, noting that his idea – he calls it the “greatest engineering and humanitarian project of the Sangha” – it would cost S$24 billion and use existing technology. The main challenge lies in inspiring the kind of leaders who could effectively champion such an audacious undertaking.



The spine of Tenzin Yun's trans-National pipeline features pipe reinforced with concrete snaking across the Shifting-Sands desert region of Songhai-Maghreb from Shambhala Sangha's two conventional desalination plants, powered by nuclear reactors, that would feed a total of more than one billion liters a day into the pipeline from either end. This water would course through the spine to 60 or more mammoth holding tanks and then into smaller pipelines spreading out like branches from a tree.

“A lot of the focus in Shambhala has been the lack of clean drinking water in the neighbouring nation of Songhai-Magrheb." says Yun. “Once we provide clean water to this region we’re going to mitigate many other problems, such as poor health, disease, marginal agriculture, desertification.”

The study conducted suggest that the pipeline could supply enough water to meet the hygiene, cooking and drinking needs of 20 million residents of Songhail-Magrheb and also sustain 2.5 million chickens and 400,000 dairy cattle in green agricultural oases. His assumption that revenue from salt collected at the desalination plants could cover much of the pipeline’s operating costs butwould also have to be tested.

Guaranteeing the security of any water pipeline across the desert is also a major concern, although Tetsugen Kuroda's recent professional expertise lies in fibre optic sensors that can detect breaches or emerging structural weaknesses in pipelines.

“There is political instability in the country, especially along the pipeline route. But many of those problems emanate from a lack of water. We are worried about tribal groups siphoning water illegally and damaging the structure of the pipe. Our nation has long banned fire arms and standing armies so we are looking to other nations to provide any assistance. ” he says.

In news in relation to the Shifting Sands Fresh Water Pipeline, the Eurussian Government has offered to provide an international loan amounting to €24 billion euros to finance the Mega Pipeline Project to provide clean water to affected citizens of Songhai-Maghreb. The loan is planned to be split into a generous €12 billion euros to be provided to the governments of Songhai Maghreb and Shambhala Sangha.




Analysts believe that this gesture of the Eurussian Government promotes its commitment to international growth and development. Since the mega project will take years, the capability of the governments to pay back the loan is reasonable knowing the superb positive effects once the mega project becomes fully operational.

EU HITS 50% MARK AGAIN

Unovia Responds to the Zakiristanian Uprising
Unovian Leader Ben Connors responded to the news of the Zakiristanian uprising. "We cannot let the uprising continue. As one of our allies, the uprising has shocked us all. There have been multiple changes in Governmental structure in the past several weeks. We have heard the calls for the former Tzar Johaan Habsburg to return to his mother country, Zakiristan. Today, the Government of Unovia announced a new national flag.
The flag will replace the old flag. The 9 stripes represent the original 9 Districts. The blue field with the star represents the Colonies. The new flag is to be revealed in June after the election.
