The First SETI Council General Meeting

Taking place in the SETI Institute building, in the Coleridge Mountains.

"Colleagues, I welcome you to the first ever SETI Council meeting here in the beautiful Coleridge Mountains. We have a single matter on the agenda for this meeting, so it shall hopefully be brief.

That matter is,
Should the SETI Program seek approval from the World Alliance Parliament and become more linked with Parliament or remain a separate independent body?

Our view is unsure, we wish to expand the organisation, but would also like to remain independent of Parliament.
We all will hear the other delegates views before voting on the matter.

And again, welcome."

A balding man in a light grey uniform would have leaned in from his chair. Infront of his desk it read in english "Cpt. Ferkhe Righa" with a sub-text in native Khebbe. His face haggard from a red eye flight the previous night offered a strained comment.

"The Parliament is an important body but I think we can work like an independent body without wait for any kind of authorization" said the antanaresian representative.

"I think we must re-start the works of the SET Council. It's one of the more peaceful and interesting organisation in the World Alliance. Antanares hopes that this organisation will launch a new agenda.
For example, we suggest we can prepare the launch of an international stellar probe for the extra-solar exploration. We just have single probes in the entire solar system, why don't try an extra-solar joint mission?" said the Antanaresian represent.

With the recent increase of the activities in the space research from many nation of the World Alliance, the preparation of a Moon Commission Act and the volition of Antanares to arrive on the Red Mars with a "secret" partner, I think the SETI could launch some initiative. For example, I think a congress to decide the future direction of the space research, also the extra-solar probe. Some ideas to share? Someone would participate to the extra-solar probe? Also, who think its a good idea an international bases on the Moon?

"The Kingdom of New Tarajan would be glad to participate to the extra-solar probe. We are ready to provide you our knowledge and technical capabilities in the field. We also believe in the need for the SETI to be fully re-activated, thus we praise the initiative of Antanares."
