MARQUETTE DECLARES NEUTRALITY AS WELL

The Constitutional Monarchy of Marquette of Pacific, having allies on both ends of the argument, declares that it is neutral, along with Eurasia. However, Charpentier has stated how he agrees with Aloia's claiming that Eurussia's blacklisting is "childish" and "absurd". Marquette wishes to collaborate with Eurasia on a peace summit in Warsaw, with both nations being neutral moderators to peaceful discussions to settle the matter.

NEW TARAJAN ANSWERS TO ANTANARESIAN PROPOSAL

The situation in Tarajan City is slowly coming back to the calm after the Eurussian Ambassador left the country, and the police enforced new security laws in the capital to help keep order.
And in this new, strange calm, the governmnet of New Tarajan officially answered to Antanares and its proposal of mediation, with a conference of Minister for Foreign Affairs Constantin Dilaver Rumi:
"We want to thank Antanares for its efforts toward mediation and a diplomatic solution of this crisis. We also are glad that His Highness the Prince accepted as condition for the negotiations to begin the official excuses of Mr. Pootin and Mr. Lavrov. However, I have to refuse to give any excuse to Eurussia for what happened to the Eurussian Ambassador, since it is a legitimate measure of any government and also our ambassador in Moscow has been recalled. The royal government is also surprised that Antanares, our historical ally, seems to not fully support our position, but we decided to understand the position of His Highness the Prince, since we are sure he will understand our own in the future.
The only interest of the royal government is to promote peace, stability and justice in the region, and for this reason we are glad to see a mediation proposal on the table.
On the other side, we cannot hide some skepticism, since we have not seen until now any true sign of goodwill from Eurussia, which continues to blacken our image and our position. But we want to be optimistis, and we will continue to wait for the official excuses of Chancellor Pootin and Minister Lavrov. Until that moment, NewTarajan will coordinate its efforts with Casavarr and Aloia."

While all political parties and factions in the Kingdom are unanimously on the side of the King and the royal government since the beginning of this crisis, there is not unanimity in the Landsraad and the Diet about the possibility to re-open the negotiations with Eurussia.
Some representatives of the Royal Tarajan Party have expressed their concerns that "the acceptance of the Antanaresian mediation could appear as a sign of failure of our position and a victory of Eurussia, which is absolutely inadmissible."
The Landsraad completed yesterday the choice of the five special judges who will hold the trial against Kim Jong-Un, and their names will be revealed soon, and the preparations continue.
Meanwhile, the King officially invited the Grand Duke of Casavarr and Queen Marina of Aloia to in Tarajan City for multilateral talks. It is intention of New Tarajan to consult with its allies before accepting (or refusing) the Antanaresian proposal.

The bridge bombers,which are believed to be Yesnoff Wilmer,a farshonian,and Albert Ingot,a texanian.They were captured in their apartment with at least 2 chemicals needed to make the type of bombs they made in their apartment.Texanian forces checked for bombs under other bridges,but found none.The official count is:734 confirmed dead, 2374 injured and ,37 people missing,they are presumed dead.Texanian officials believe there is more culprits,with security cameras showing that the day before,a boat of 7 people stopped under the bridge for 45 minutes and had no reason to.

The news of the decision of His Highness the Prince of Antanares to finally side with New Tarajan is welcomed by the royal government as "a demonstration of SECURS solidarity, and the loyalty of our allies and partners."
Prime Minister Esther Farah Rumaki, in a press conference held in Palace Van Geldern affirmed that "We greatly thanks Antanares for their support. I also can understand the skepticism of some representatives of the Bruma toward this decision. However, I can say them that never New Tarajan would see Antanares as a minor partner, or a small, irrilevant country. Since centuries Antanares and New Tarajan shared common interests, values, and friendship. We are glad to see another demonstration of this relationship, and the Kingdom will remember it.
Although, I am concerned and worried about the failure of the attempt of mediation tried by His Highness: the lack of any response from Eurussia demonstrated a complete disrespect, but maybe also a failure of the Eurussian position itself."
The Prime Minister continued stating that "With no hand toward us from Eurussia, we cannot avoid to proceed as requested by the international community. We only hope to leave this crisis behind us as soon as possible."
Immediately after the end of the press conference, an official note of the Landsraad revealed the names of the five judges who will hold the Landsraad Supreme Court with the aim to judge Kim Jong-Un. They are:
Duke Marcus Raphael Van De Groot, Deputy Minister for Homalenad Security and Justice, a man with great experience in the field;
Countess Augustine Van Peeuw, former member of the Royal Court of Guarantees;
Prince Maximilian Van Sondenburg, former representative of New Tarajan in the ICC;
Princess Elise Angelique Van Vinkel, sister of the King, and renowed expert of international law;
Count Heindrick Wilhelm Van Aaardenne, professor of International Law in the Royal Tarajan University;

Also, the Landsraad issued an official invitation to Casavarrian professor Benedict Comfort to participate to the trial as counselor of the Court.
Another invitation as been issued to Aloia and Europe to appoint a judge, or a counselor, to the trial, which will begin tomorrow or the day after.

Meanwhile, Tarajan economy hits a new high.
Helodine Energy Industries, the most important alternative-energy producer and suppliers of the Kingdom, reached yesterday a new income high, with 1.18 trillions Prands of net income calculated for this year.
"It is a great success for us" commented CEO Marquis Nathan Van Freussen "This is a demonstration of what Tarajani energy sector can achieve, with good capital investments and good administration."
Helodine also increased recently its value in the stock market, especially after the success of the Space Solar Array Copernicus, masterpiece of Tarajan technology, which now provides almost two thirds of the energy supply needed by the Kingdom.
"Helodine is now in top-five of the most important energy suppliers of the world" commented Van Freussen: "We are proud of such an achievement but we cannot stop right now. For this reason, it is our intention to increase the international role of Helodine, with new agreements in Antanares, Shirouma, Casavarr and Aloia, firstly."

The European support to the process to be performed in New Tarajan had caused considerable confusion for analysts of international politics, which they considered a sort of capitulation in the face of international interests.
In addition, the position of the European Government has met with criticism from many historic and strategic allies, such as Eurussia.
On the domestic opposition to the hypothesis of a process to be carried out in a third party was even more fierce.
"The Europe sold its sovereignty!" , "We are no longer a sovereign state!" , "The people of Korya and the families of the 333 European deaths caused by Kim Jong Un will not have justice!" , "The government sells off our nation to foreign interests!"
These and other slogans in vogue among parliamentarians and citizens who are against the idea of a trial of the dictator to be carried out in third parties.
The Government has met an almost unanimous opposition in Parliament and even among the political parties.
Also the European Socialist Party, currently the majority party from which it comes almost the entire staff of the government, has threatened the government itself.
Not a few in Parliament have threatened not to renew the confidence in this government, thus making it drop and paving the way for new elections.
Threat that the government could be avoided only by removing the support for the proposal of a trial in New Tarajan.
In addition, European citizens (about 80%, the majority) are against the proposal of a trial in New Tarajan, and they want the extradition of Kim Jong Un in Europe.
Not to mention the discontent that is causing the slow pace of justice toward Kim Jong Un amongst the citizens of Korya,the first victims of his crimes and the first to request his condemnation.
In short, the government's support to the positions of New Tarajan has ridiculed the Europe, "Threatening to undermine the good work done so far in Korya", as many say MEPs.

CHANCELLOR CHARPENTIER SIDES WITH TARAJAN

In a speech today outside of Marquette's Royal Palace, Chancellor Charpentier openly sided with New Tarajan, Antanares, and Aloia on their position on Kim Jong-Un. This is the first any high-ranking Marquetien politician has said regarding the debacle, as Marquette prefers to stay neutral. Charpentier voiced support for Kim Jong's trial taking place in Tarajan, and he condemned Europe for its claiming that Kim Jong can only be tried in its country. "Mr. Kim Jong committed crimes against all of humanity. Europeans, Eurussians, Tarajanis, and a whole mix of people of different races were killed by Kim Jong. Thus we should not be arguing about where he is tried, but how and when. The longer we argue, the longer the families of the deceased are denied justice for their lost loved ones."

Two deads and twenty wounded, included the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Navy, Duke Conrad Amasya.
This is the final balance of the attacks brought by crowds of Koryan to the main camps of the Tarajani Peacekeeping Force in Korya.
Duke Amasya was inspecting the Tarajani forces when the camp was suddenly attacked by a crowd of Koryans (due to rumors, more than a thousands) and the local forces were immediately overhelmed (due also to the tassative order to not open fire against civilians, which Tarajani soldiers bravely respected also in such a critical situation), while no aid came from the peacekeeping forces on the ground.
Cpt. Friederick Van Aardenne (member of the prestigious House Van Aardenne) and Pvt. Julia Hendersen were killed while bravely trying to defend the Admiral from the angst.
And now the 6th Fleet was leaving Korya, after the order issued by the High Command of Eurussia and Europe, with all military and civilian Tarajani personnel on board.
Duke Amasya is in serious conditions, on board of one of the Aloian hospital ships still in the area, ready to be taken back in New Tarajan as soon as possible.
The reaction of both the government and the public opinion was immediate.
While protests are spreading throughout the country, under the slogan "Eurussia: killer of our sons!", and the Royal Tarajan Party and the White Party are organizing a sit-in near any Eurussian Consulate in the Kingdom, the King personally held an emergency joint meeting of the Landsraad and the Diet in Palace Van Geldern to comment the issue, in a speech boradcasted live in the entire Kingdom:
"What happened today in Korya and in Aloia was not the simple result of civilian wrath. It was the result of a deliberate policy, aimed to depict New Tarajan and Aloia, to which I express all my solidarity, as the responsibles of an injustice against the Koryan people; a policy carried out by misinformation and manipulation of the media and the press, in the desperate attempt to justify an unjustifiable position of closeness and arrogance. I want to ask only one thing to the Eurussian government: since they insist so much about their right of sovereignity on Korya and its population, is this the way you ensure safety inside your State?"
His Majesty continued, commending: "The incredible courage and spirit of sacrifice of our soldiers, namely of Capt. Van Aardenne and Pvt. Hendersen, who sacrificed their lives to save their Commander, Duke Conrad Amasya, to whom I sincerely wish a rapid and complete recover, while refusing to use violence against a crowd of civilians; violence which is being used against us. But we are the Kingdom of New Tarajan, one of the most civilzed countries in the world, and we'll never respond to the violence with the violence until it will be striclty necessary.
The complete inactivity of the Eurussian peacekeeping forces during the attack is the last outrage our country have to tolerate in the name of peace."
The King also stigmatized the rumors about a possible world war between Eurussia and New Tarajan as "ridiculous, provocatives and at least offensives. We have no intention to declare war to anybody; we have no reasons to do such a thing. Maybe we have to demonstrate the fairness of our position by the use of force? I believe it is not the case. This is only another demonstration of how the Eurussian press uses to depict us in a completely wrong way."
Then, talking about the news from Europe and Marquette, His Majesty expressed his "deepest gratitude for the intervention of Chancellor Charpentier in support of our position." while at the same time he feels "deep regret for the step-back of the European government, although I perfectly understand the difficulty of their domestic politics." and, addressing Mr. Ezio Auditore, the european president, he said: "We will not stepping back, not before a sign of goodwill from Eurussia, which has ignored the Antanaresian proposal for mediation and for the conference at Velikogovolka, accepted by the royal government; and which refuses to make formal excuses for their insulting and arrogant behavior toward the Kingdom. Our recent declarations, and our attitude during the entire crisis represent better than any word our opening to negotiation and moderation; but we have seen no sign, no hand from Eurussia toward us.
We are ready to invite also Eurussia to send judges or counsellors to the trial, if they want to be represented (and I renew the same invitation also to Europe): but I will never sell off the reputation and prestige of New Tarajan, as a King but, above all, as a Tarajani.
At the same time" he concluded "We'll never accept provocations from anybody. Maybe someone out there hopes that New Tarajan answers to this crisis declaring war, or with any kind of military action. I can say to this individual that we will never use such trivial, and barbarian methods to enforce our position. It would be better for him to directly declare war on us. But it would useful to remind him the old saying of Kalihaan Jahan Shah: violence is always the last refuge of the incompetent.
Sincerely, at this point, if the Eurussian government wants to take Kim Jong-Un, then, instead of using such subtle methods of pressure against us, like civilian crowds, I want to suggest them to come here and take him, if they can."
Words received by the auditorium with a sudden, long applause, and shouts of "Long live New Tarajan! Long live the King!"

New-Zealand Sides With New Tarajan, End of NZ-Eurussian Alliance?



In the midst of the Koryan conflict, one which NZ has been reluctant to join, the time has come for NZ and Eurussia to update their treaty. However, in the session this morning, the parliament voted in favor of ditching the alliance with Eurussia (Presumably over the way Korya was handled) instead of renewing it. The proposal was passed with a majority of 96-24 as both the Socialist and Liberal Party (The main political parties of NZ) voted in favor of the motion, The only political party to oppose the bill was the "Conservative Party".

In a speech regarding this the minister of international affairs, Sarah Roberts, had this to say :

In recent times, the Social Democracy has become quite reluctant to continue close relations with Eurussia. We found them to be far to lenient on who they form treaties with, we have also had some concerns on the implications of the conditions of the NZ-Eurussian treaty, particularly the clause relating visa waivers. The handling of the Koryan crisis, followed by threats of "Blacklisting" innocents such as Aloia, has led the Social Democracy to loose all faith in the ability of the Empire to fulfill the expectations of an ally of NZ. As a result the Social Democracy has made the decision to scrap the alliance with Eurussia, though we do hope to remain on good terms with the Empire, we have no interest in pursuing further close political and economic relations with them... Atleast not in formal "black and white" terms such as that of a treaty. Any Eurussians currently residing in NZ will be allowed to continue living in NZ, and will be granted Permanent Residency Visa if they wish to apply, however a background criminal check will be required before PR is granted.

In last weekends election results having been tallied. The Social Democracy is under the leadership of none other than Samantha Williams of "The Socialist Party". She was chosen as the replacement for former NZ Prime Minister, and Socialist Party Leader, Michael Jefferson after he made the decision to return to a position as Minister of Education as he felt "The Position as prime minister is having a detrimental effect on [his] personal family life. Therefore [he] will not contest in [this] election." The Liberal Party also appointed a new leader, none other the Ms. Williams close childhood friend Helen Whaite. The two are still close friends and have promised greater co-operation between the two political parties.

Dr. Low Found in Southern Huskdor



Dr. Low, the leader of the Low Republic for 24 years, has been found living in an abandoned home in southern Huskdor, a region with a freezing, hostile climate. The nearest permanent settlement is thirty-five kilometres away with fewer than five hundred residents.

Dr. Low took power of the (formerly sovereign, but unrecognised) Low Republic in 1989 and remained in power until the end of the WA World War, resulting in his ousting and the Low Republic's reunification with Yellasia. During his rule, he introduced some positive reforms, granting Low women suffrage in 1991 and making the Low Republic prosperous (although with huge class inequities). He did expand his executive powers, increased censorship, cracked down on various protests, and violate human rights. He can also be blamed for starting the World War, sinking a Yellasian ship, beginning the most deadly war in the region that resulted in drastic loss of life, political changes, and an extraterrestrial invasion of the world.

Formerly believed to be dead, he is now happily insane, devoting his time to painting puppies. Observers claim he is always smiling, and seems to be a reformed man. Yellasian authorities are unsure what to do with him. Currently his house is surrounded by Yellasian troops. He will likely be taken into custody. Leaders of the Yellasian Peace League suggest he be left alone, while others, sensitive to his past actions, demand he be taken in. The death penalty is abolished in Yellasia, and Prime Minister Carl Avery, on tour, has yet to respond.

After the acquisition of the Principality of Belœil, the Patrician Government and Linguistics Society has agreed to nationally recognize the Belœillonais language.
