SAN FRANCISCO, San Francisco, Aloia == Chancellor Davis and Queen Marina are re-evaluating Aloia's relationship with Eurussia, since Aloia's ally has taken a trip down a dangerous path. The time since the death of Queen Elizabeth and the change of regime has brought Eurussia in a very different direction, with the massive fall in level of political freedom and civil rights. The abolition of parliament is also a very worrisome development for the Aloian government.

"Eurussia has been a good ally in the recent years, but we're afraid they might be treading down a path we can't follow. It's time to re-evaluate our commitment to them," Chancellor Davis said in an official press release from the Palace of Moncloa. Aloia has historically been very dedicated to political freedoms and civil rights, both of which are suffering under the current Eurussian regime. "We believe strongly that Eurussia can come back from this travesty as they have in the past. We believe they can return to their position as a glowing democracy, working well with everyone represented, as they were in the past," the press release continued.

The City of Unthar, located in the Ardevaincourt State of the Arveyres has been declared the New City of Paris, thus replacing the old city of Paris (now called Cachecourt). The New City of Paris is expected to open new doors for the Royal Society as it is closer to allies within the SECURS and within the SOWESO. It also offers the Royal Society a new style of relations with Aloia. An open border is expected to go into effect with Aloia due to their extremely close relations.

The capital was also moved to be closer to Aloia as the Royal families have both been intertwined for many generations. The Aloian Royal Family still has the opportunity to claim and succeed to the throne of the Arveyres.

The move is was also conducted to increase economic build as it offers shorter travel and shipping time between closer allies on the Mnemosyne continent. This also will help the P&A Cruise Lines to have new varied routes for their intercontinental cruises.

Although the Empire of Farshonia and the Royal Society of Arveyres have not always been on good terms, they do happen to share two land borders and one extremely short maritime border. After hearing notice of their closing of borders, this shocked many Farshonians living in the Arveyres. The Farshonians in the Arveyres were offered Arveyres citizenship upon the notice of their border closing.

Those who refused or declined the offer were allowed to stay in the nation but were given temporary three-month visa stay. They must leave before their visa becomes void. Many Farshonians have moved towards the border with Farshonia in hopes that they will re-gain access into their nation.

Many have began to build slums and run-down cities on the border. The Arveyres government responded to this by offering them an ultimatum: "get out or you will be sent out". These slums have drastically changed the beautiful landscape of the area.

The area in a matter of days has gone from a majority Marquetien-speaking and Marquetien-background population to a Pidgin-speaking Farshonian majority. Many pidgin languages combining native languages of the Farshonia and the Arveyres (and in some cases, Marquetien) have started to arise.

The Académie Patricienne (Patrician Academy, National Language Registry and Preservation Organisation) has refused to recognise any of the Farshonian creoles. The Académie has been pushing for increased education of the Marquetien and Patrician languages in the states of Montfaucon, Domessargues, Solargues and Avressieux to preserve the regional languages.

The new trade policy with the new neighbours has been greatfully extended including open borders to all vessels of their nations. Also including military base access of their nations.

A travel policy has also been put into action including the removal of the requirement to have a visa of travel when traveling into any of the Arveyres' sovereign territories. This policy has not been extended over the Royal Society of Beloeil.

The Arveyres hopes for an increase in relations between all of the nations. We hope for a stronger bond with our new Mnemosyne neighbours.

After a hip surgery, shutting her out of the public eye for six months, she has returned to her normal activism and parading ways.

The Lady, a self identifying lesbian has been an activist for LGBT Rights and Acceptance since before her late sister Saint Jeanne was Empress. She has recently held several acceptance conferences in the New City of Paris, which rangled over 200 politicians from all over the Royal Realm and Aloia.

Also being an Electranist, a religion that accepts homosexuality, she is pushing for the Patrician Angelic Church to accept homosexuality. The PAC has been for a long time, riticuled as it does not openly accept homosexual marriage and behaviour. The Papesse and Pope of both Churches were also present at the Conference.

Andre was married to Queen Marina IV Victoria for a number of years, until the revelation that he had sired twins to a Tarajani mistress led to their split. Marina has since married the New Zealand prime minister, making an outspoken republican a king consort of one of the world's oldest monarchies. After the divorce and remarriage, Marina reportedly stayed friends with Andre, but relations were strained.

Andre was also one of Prince Eric's best friends. Eric started his friendship with Andre at the wedding of Eric's brother Henri and Andre's sister Jeanne. They stayed close for years, even through the death of Jeanne and Jeanne's children and the troubling times following that. They even remained friends through the divorce between Andre and Eric's sister, Marina. Chancellor Junichiro Koizumi revealed in an interview which also confirmed rumors that the previous socialist liberal government have discreetly clamped down on civil liberties to consolidate its de facto control over public life at the same time centralizing state power throughout the empire using national security and debated issues as a front and excuse to gain support for the laws it enforced and a notable example of such is the nationalization of the newspaper industry. He also said that since the former ruling party has majority control over all the ducal parliaments, they have tried hard to use propaganda to distance the Eurussian Monarchy from the people that will eventually pave way for the establishment of a Eurussian Federal Republic where the former chancellor would then become its first president. King Friederick Wilhelm and Queen Beatrice landed today in the early morning in Paris, capital city of Arveyres, in order to pay their last homage to Prince Andre, recently passed away.
"Prince Andre, as the Aloians and the Arveyrans, was always a loyal and trustful ally of New Tarajan. But, more important, he was a loyal friend of mine and of the House Van Vinkel as a whole" said the King during the ceremony.

Soon before the landing in Paris, King Friederick had the occasion to speak with some journalists about the response from Moscow to the recent openings from Prime Minister Rumaki, when addressing the Landsraad yesterday.
"The statements of Prime Minister Rumaki are fully supported by myself" began His Majesty, thus sweeping away some rumors about an autonomous position of the Prime Minister: "No country in the world can have an interest to keep indefinitely an high level of tension with another State. The speech of Her Highness Princess Rumaki was the demonstration that New Tarajan is ready to take a new path."
"Obviously" the King continued "We expect the same kind of openness from Moscow. Peace cannot be reached by unilateral moves."
When asked how He viewed the response from the new Eurussian Chancellor, Junichiro Koizumi, His Majesty said: "I want to believe that the intentions of Mr. Koizumi were a sort of opening toward us. I cannot avoid to consider that he listed a series of "issues", as he called them, which, in his opinion, New Tarajan must address before having the possibility to talk with Moscow, such as the so-called Orenburg Aggression, or the Koryan crisis. It is strange to me, that Mr. Koizumi listed issues which are already resolved; many members of the Landsraad, talking with me before my departure, expressed their concerns that Eurussia is seeking some sort of apologies. The King also answered to a question about the continuous use of the word "blacklist" from Eurussian medias: "New Tarajan has always been against such measures like the "blacklisting" of nations, based on entirely subjective opinions. The Kingdom is not searching a way to have such a "blacklisting" lifted: we do not, and cannot, care about this. What we offer to Eurussia is a dialogue between pairs, founded over the basis of mutual respect and trust, in order to improve our diplomatic relations and, consequently, the entire situation in the region. After a brief consultation with the Royal Council, we have decided to offer the constitution of a New Tarajan-Eurussian Reconciliation Committee, with the specific aim to find the basis for a dialogue, and to analize and suggest to both governments the best steps to be carried away in order to reach a new atmosphere of trust and friendship between our two countries. Obviously, Moscow is free to reject it, but I have personally great hopes that the Eurussian government will demonstrate soon that the wind is really changed."

PRESIDENT DAVIDOVIC ANNOUNCES RE-ELECTION BID

President Marko Davidovic has announced his intention to stand for a second term in office in 2016. This comes after Davidovic's Conservative party won a majority in the Congress and gained seats in the Senate last year. The President was elected on November of 2012 and inaugurated on January of 2013. He has started his election bid early in hopes of raising more money for an internet campaign.

While his approval ratings among the public are in the mid-seventies, Davidovic has been facing some heat from the far right of his party after implementing some liberal legislation, such as gun control and the legalization of same-sex marriage. The Conservative Party primary is currently a three way race.

This comes as former Prime Minister Sal Bartkowski successfully clinched the Libertarian parties bid for President. The Libertarian party is the one of the largest parties of Talanzaar. The Liberal party does not contest in Presidential elections.

The election is set to be held on November 6th, 2016.

Planitan Whistle-blower Exposes Classified Planitan Programs

Today a unnamed person exposed sensitive Planitan documents about classified projects and programs form a shadowy agency called Section 31. The person anonymously contacted our reporter saying that he or she "had some documents to share." He proceeded to send te documents us using encrypted email found here.
Some information will found there including the aforementioned agency Section 31 and other projects like surveillance programs. Something however has bothered this reporter, all of the surveillance programs are activated or deactivated but they were all labeled decoys. Decoys for what? What does Section 31 have under those wraps? The government has no official comments as of yet.

British Soldiers Remove Native Threat

Yesterday, it was reported to our newspaper of the violent and uncalled-for rebellion of several Native Tribes in the dark continent. British presence in the nation is high, and, whilst race laws are free, British soldiers are licensed to arrest and even execute any native tribesmen if they attack them or another soldier. Yesterday morning, however, over two thousand natives attacked the small unit of British troops in an unknown location. This was in retaliation to the death of a native man after he tried to kill a pair of native women in a fight that resulted in his execution via the British forces. Despite the overwhelming force, the British soldiers gunned down one quater of the tribe before the rest fled. Prisoners broke last night, claiming to belong to the 'Rape Tribe,' to translate- a violent tribe that takes women prisoner and sell them as special slaves for different tribal men.

Whistleblower Dakota

Today the whistleblower has been identified as only as Dakota. Not much is know about him aside from what he had told us. What we know is that he is male and had connections in the government and possibly Section 31. When we asked why he had done a possibly traitorous act, he said “I have uncovered a rumors of a program that will send our rights to the dark ages.” When asked about the details of the program he said he did not know much about the program except it is heavily classified and had something to do with the missions in the other countries. Dakota also said another reason for him to leak the programs was that Planita violated the trust of other nations. When we asked how he came a across this information, he said he came across it in an accident.

Government Reaction

Today the government officially reacted to the Dakota leaks which it calls a irreparable damage to national security. A spokesperson for Section 31 called “it a disgrace to Planita and it would damage Planitan efforts at homeland security.” "We will try to find Dakota and arrest him or her." When asked about the active surveillance operations in the other countries, he replied, “It is just a misunderstanding, they are labeled that because a master criminal we are hunting is thought to be hiding in one of those countries. We are trying to find that criminal and bring him back to Planita to face trial. We must continue our operations because that one dangerous to us and to you. We acknowledge your concern but it is critical that we continue.” Finally when he was asked about all the programs labeled decoy, he just said, “Classified.”

TEST SCORES ARE IN, EDUCATION DEPARTMENT WORRIED

Besançon, Marquette of Pacific (MINA) -- As the 2013 school year's test scores are finally released, leaders of the federal Education Department are worried for the future of Marquette's children. The federal Education Department, along with the United Kingdom's several national Education Departments, have finished their joint annual conference, and the results are mixed.

While the test scores of native Marquetien children are improving somewhat from their already advanced position, immigrants, specifically those from Snarfia, have seen a sharp decrease in test scores. Mary Elgar, an Ostfortian woman teaching in a downtown Besançon school, had the following to say:

The attitude towards Snarfian students is similar throughout the United Kingdom: it's worse for them here than it is where they came from. Marquetien, a distinctly difficult language, is not the only language an immigrant must know to be fully successful in Marquette. The several regional languages spoken throughout the United Kingdom can make it extremely challenging for an immigrant to succeed, as they would have to learn several languages while simultaneously adapting to a new culture, a new job, and a society that is plainly unwelcoming.

But for now, the situation remains the same. Immigrant students are receiving lower and lower scores on tests, and the government is doing all it can to help them adjust. However, the views of Marquetiens towards their Islamic immigrants are always constant: we don't want them here, and they can't adapt anyway.

Many citizens of the Federation are outraged about the leaks that Dakota revealed several days ago. “We have violated the trust of our allies and that broken trust will bite us back.” one citizens notes. Many feel the same way but some feel that it is Planita’s right to spy on other countries. “We have a fundamental right to protect ourselves in any way we wish and besides, how do we know if some other country is spying on us right now?” One bystander commented.

Today Dakota has again sent us information about the unknown government project that he had talked about in his last message. While digging through his loot, he found a document about that program however he said it was heavily water damaged and he only could make out the name Samaritan. He has no idea what it is but it could be the big one.

It seems that of all the nations being spied on by Planita, New-Zealand is the only one which wasn't taken by surprise. The directer of the NZSIS revealed this morning that the pro-privacy vigilante group "Anonymous", which is currently kept protected by the Social Democracy, actually informed the NZSIS of Section 31's activities around 5 and a half months ago. Since then, the NZSIS has been monitoring the activities of Section 31 in relation to the Social Democracy, sometimes going as far as to allow Section 31 to obtain false feeder information in order for the NZSIS to find out their true intentions. However, both the NZSIS and "Anonymous" were under the impression that Section 31's spying was contained to only government organisations and officials, only since Dakota's revelation has the NZSIS been aware of the blanket spying scheme Section 31 had put in place.

Nevertheless, the Social Democracy has announced that it is willing to dismiss this act of treachery by the Planitan government, in order to preserve the long standing economic and diplomatic ties between the two nations. However, NZSIS will be closely monitoring all external activity in NZ, and has pledged itself to maintain the peace of mind and privacy, of all NZ residents. It will actively ensure that nobody is monitoring the activity of a NZ citizen without a warrant recognised by the NZ Supreme Court.

In a stunning report today, Section 31 declared that it has known that the group Anonymous was following its activities since 4 months ago. However Section 31 does not know is now the group as even gained knowledge of Section 31 as it doesn't even officially exists. The agency acknowledges that the group's information was very convincing "The feeder information was so good," a spokesperson said, "We had difficultly telling what was real or fake even with our supercomputer in our toolbox. That was what tipped us off. Reports conflicted and we realized someone was messing with us." However the spokesperson said, "It was unnecessary as we weren't concerned with New-Zealand's citizens personal lives, we are were looking for something else".
