Nationalism on the rise in Shirouma



Shirouma, a nation known for it's welcoming attitude towards foreigners seems to be changing says a political expert Ishi Tazaki, the last months we have noticed very nationalistic attitudes in our nation, both in the goverment and in the people. Military parades, celebration of historic events, negative attitude towards most foreginers, it's all happening, and we await it to get worse.

Today, the goverment has passed a few new laws that will propably change Shiroumas future.

Immigration Law

A person living in Shirouma for 2 years and having no fluent knowledge of Japanese is to be extradited from the country (Doesn't count in religious missionaries, foreign diplomats and citizens of Great Eurussia and New Tarajan.)

All tourists to Shirouma must apply for 1 months visa. (Doesn't affect citizens of Great Eurussia and New Tarajan).

Students in Shirouma need to get a NEW student visa, the old student visas are to be exchanged for the new one. (Doesn't affect citizens of Great Eurussia and New Tarajan).

Foreign workers in Shirouma need to aquire their employment in Shirouma before visting their country, the only companies allowed to recruit foreign workers from now are Shirouma based companies. (Doesn't affect citizens of Great Eurussia and New Tarajan).

As the goverment states, the new immigration laws are to get a better control of illegal immigration that has been a big problem the recent year.

Also, a new law on Japanese language has passed and is to be applied.

The Japanese language is from now the only Official language in Shirouma, also, local rural dialects are to be replaced with the new standartised Shirouman Japanese, a process of reeducation is to start within weeks and a national ''test'' will be taken by every citizen in Shirouma , those failing the test will be included in the Shirouman reeducation process.

While the European president, Ezio Auditore, is still in Snarfia to follow closely the evolution of the situation, the Prime Minister, Herman Van Rompuy, is on the move again.
After visiting Eurussia, reinforcing pre-existing bonds and obtaining the entry from the ally in the Customs Union, is now visiting Auckland, New-Zealand.

This is indeed a historic day for both nations, which hold formally for the first time, economic, diplomatic and military.
Two nations that have government policies, both internal and external, so similar, and they have always fought for peace and stability in the region, could not do anything but become good allies.

Keep in mind the establishment of a common policy on terrorism, which has become a real threat after the events of Snarfia.

After that the European delegation gave a speech in front of the New Zealand Parliament, which was followed by a state banquet with all the highest personality economic, political and military of the country.

The unthinkable has happened. Following yesterday's election of Cedar Sallawai; second place candidate Red Weaver is leading rebel attacks on the government all across the country. Weaver obviously had this plan in place in the event that he lost the election. Rebel forces are currently besieging the presidential mansion where President Hyatt is currently and president-elect Sallwai's campaign HQ where Sallawai is holed up. Perhaps the most troubling thing about this un precedent event is that Weaver's forces are also attempting to take countrol of nuclear missle silos across the country

USS and RDF have signed an agreement on economy, social and defense during RDF Representative Adrian Willson visit to Shoz City, USS.

The agreement was signed in Fropp Convention Center. USS President Heather Hyatt said it would help maintain "peace, prosperity and stability" between the two nations. Both sides are keen to ensure that the agreement will help to bring great prosperity.

"Both Representative Adrian and I agree that there are far more common interests than differences between RDF and USS," Mr Heather told a joint press conference with Mr Adrian.

"RDF and USS are two great nations. Our two peoples have the wisdom and our two governments have the ability to manage our relationship so that it will come to benefit the overall interests of our bilateral relations," the RDF representative added.

The USS President said: "Representative Adrian and I have agreed that peace and prosperity on our nations must remain the foundation for growth of the USS-RDF relationship, even as we move forward the negotiations toward a fair, reasonable and mutual acceptable settlement to the USS-RDF relationship question."

The two representative also discussed trade at their Friday meeting, RDF is seeking greater access to USS markets and wants to attract USS investment.

The two nations signed four agreements in total, including a deal to stregthen co-operation on trans-border transport and military defense pact.

Rebel forces led by defeated presidential candidate Red Weaver have been pushed away from government landmarks in Shoz City. "The Eurasian Armed Forces are on high alert and ready to thwart any attack launched by the Schorrian rebels against Eurasia or any of her socialist allies. With the recent bio terror threats, Eurasia is not taking any chances with rebels or terrorists."

As worries of a breakdown in relations between New-Zealand and its closest and oldest ally, the United States of Schorr, surface, the share market has taken a solid hit, and forced an immediate military intervention by the Social Democracy. In a speech by the prime minister this morning he stated : "For many centuries, since the creation of NZ, the USS has remained a close ally, and a brother in arms. We have fought countless wars together, and saved countless lives together. We have progressed from friends, to brothers and have remained inseparable regardless of our different ideologies and beliefs. NZ has remained a bastion of socialism, whilst the USS has grown to be the flag bearer of the Capitalist ideology. Nonetheless, we have managed to work together and iron out the differences and make legendary strives such as the CER (Close Economic Relations Act) which see all visa restrictions dropped between the countries. Any citizen of the USS is treated as a Permanent Resident of the Social Democracy and vice versa. The predicament of loosing our closest friend to the tyrannic hands of "Weaver" is truly frightening indeed. However, I assure you all that the NZ Forces will fight ruthlessly to crush the unjust weaver and restore order the USS once again. Together we have overcome much, and this will be no different. The government has called for an immediate mobilisation of the NZ Forces, and has initiated a class 2 contingency plan. The fact that the last time a plan of this scale was in place was during the first World War, just goes to show how seriously the Social Democracy is taking the threat of Weaver. In response to the Eurussian revelation of pre emptive strikes in the making, the Social Democracy has issued a plea to the Empire. The Ministry of Defence stated in a public message that it is gravely concerned by the Eurussian pre-emptive strikes as the strike could in fact set off any nuclear warheads being primed. It followed this plea with a shocking revelation that for years the NZ-USS joint forces have possessed a class 1 Tzar Bomba. The largest nuclear warhead type in known existence. The NZ Forces are still attempting to locate the Tzar Bomba which is currently housed in USS, and has not ruled out the possibility of it being in Weavers possession. If a pre emptive strike goes ahead as planned, and by chance destroys a silo holding the Tzar Bomba, or any other nuclear weapon for that matter, we could see a nuclear fallout that easily encompasses the top left quadrant of our planet. That would see nations like Eurussia and NZ essentially destroyed. The Social Democracy pleads with Eurussia to please reconsider the Pre Emptive strikes as the risk of accidental detonation is too great. The only option is to take the silo's by conventional means (foot soldiers) and detonate and launched nuclear warheads when they reach peak altitude of 500 Km.

President Hyatt has issued a statement to the Eurussian government warning them not to get involved. Hyatt is insisting that the USS has control of the situation and that a garrison of Schorrian troops have arrived and the rebels are now quickly losing ground.

After days of silence, due to the imminent elections in the Royal Diet, the Kingdom of New Tarajan again decided to speak about the recent developments in the international arena.
Minister for Foreign Affairs Constantin Dilaver Rumi held an official press conference at the Royal Palace to comment the recent news from Schorr and the reaction of the international community:
"The Kingdom of New Tarajan is obviously deeply concerned about the recent spread of civil war in the United States of Schorr, as the last spread of political instability in a difficult, though relevant, region." said the Minister.
He continued, stating that "Also, we understand the concerns expressed by the government of Eurussia regarding the safety of the Schorr nuclear arsenal. However, we cannot avoid to call for moderation, in such an explosive situation. We support the position of our ally, the Social Democracy of New-Zealand, which is against any preemptive strike."
"The decision to strike first" Minister said "would simply destroy any further possibility for a pacific, diplomatic settlement of the issue. And this is exactly what we are searching for: a diplomatic negotiation. We are ready to provide our good offices to find a compromise between the Schorr government and the rebels. On the other hand, we are sure that New-Zealand can provide the maximum safety for Tzar Bomb jointly developed with Schorr, and we will support any action taken to ensure such safety."
But the Minister also pointed out at the end of the Conference that "any act brought against the security of Eurussia will be seen by New Tarajan as a cause for the activation of the clauses of the SOWESO Treaty." A statement also supported by the strong military presence of New Tarajan military forces in Holy Patrician States, as part of the SECURS Task Force.



A strange, intermediate, position, and an unprecented sign of distension toward Eurussia after the recent tensions during the Koryan War and the Luthenian Revolution, while at the same time underlining the importance of the recent alliance with New-Zealand.

The situation on the border with Schorr is returning to be dangerous, given the growing instability in the neighboring country.

The Air Force cosistono in drones, helicopters, fighters F-18 and Tornado fighter-bombers, in addition to fighter Harrier II.

The fleet, the number of units is unknown, it has been deployed along the coast of Schorr, in support of units eurussian.
It is believed that some nuclear submarines deployed for missile defense.
The units come from the 1st Colonial Fleet.

The role of the Army is very important.
The Ministry of Defence has deployed at the border consisting of army units, addestratemottimamente well-equipped and highly mechanized, in support to the units already present.
Are based on existing military infrastructure in the area, quite roomy and efficient to accommodate the reinforcements.
Army units, in addition to overseeing the sensitive points, will provide support in patrol operations, species as the most inaccessible areas and less populated.

President Hyatt is now asking Eurussian naval forces to vacate the Schorrian Sea as the situation is now completely under control.

As the USS Forces regain stability in Schorr, along with help from dispatched NZ Forces, the Tzar Bomba is now under NZ Custody. However, the Ministry of Defence said in an open statement today that the bomb will not be decommissioned and will instead be kept in an undisclosed location (More on the Tzar Bomba is below). The Minister of Defence wanted to reinforce to the nations of the WA, particularly Eurussia, that the "Social Democracy is entitled to manufacture and store weapons of mass destruction. [we] can assure you that the Tzar Bomba is not the first, and most definitely not the last, secret WMD plan we have in place. So far we have only announced two "super weapons" and that was the Flux Bomb (With E&A) and the Tzar Bomba (With USS). We have many more weapons capable of unbelievable destruction which we have mainly designed and produced in coalition with the WA's largest military power (E&A). I will not go into the details of these WMDs as that would ruin the element of surprise, however, I will simply warn any future enemies of NZ that there is a lot more to the NZ Forces than you see. For example, we have a undisclosed military budget, which is excessively large in comparison to our military manpower. The fact of the matter is that majority of that money goes to a extremely well funded and skilled R&D department whose duty is to make weapons with more and more destructive power. Especially since we inked our Close Military Relations act with E&A, the R&D aspect of both our forces has skyrocketed."

In other news, many members of the NZ Emergency services (Particularly police) have been dispatched to the USS where they are aiding in the manhunt for Red Weaver. NZ has also opened up its hospitals to relieve any overloaded USS Hospitals. The Prime Minister did go on to point out that all of this, including the hospital treatment,  will be absolutely free, and the USS will not even have to pay a penny.

The Pandora's box is finally open. The precarious political balance, product of the ambigous results of the Diet elections, has been broken by the last comments of the Eurussian government about the declaration made few days go by Minister for Foreign Affairs Constantin Dilaver Rumi on the Schorr Civil War.
Indeed, the Minister stated that an attack against Eurussia would have been seen as a cause for the activation of the SOWESO Treaty in defence of Eurussia itself. A sign of friendship, rejected by Eurussia as an "unacceptable and unreasonable" excuse for the involvement of the organization.
These words have been sufficient to destroy the remnants of political unity in support of the government of Princess Esther Farah Rumaki. The R.T.P. and the White Party have promoted, indeed, this morning in the Diet a non-confidence motion against the government, refusing further support for any governmental initiative.
Also, protests are spreading in the capital, especially in front the Eurussian embassy and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs: people were wearing anti-Pootin t-shirts, and calling for the immediate resignation of Minister Rumi.

With the King overseeing the SOWESO joint military exercises in Antanares, the burden is fallen entirely on the shoulder of Prime Minister Rumaki.
She held an emergency press conference at the Royal Palace, few hours ago, announcing that "Minister Rumi has this morning resigned from his role as Minister for Foreign Affairs."
A decision taken after the charges from the R.T.P. to being "at service of the socialists in this government, promoting a policy of submission toward Eurussia which resulted in an insult against us, once again" as said by Marcus Leen, speaker of the Party, this morning.
The resignation (maybe not so voluntary) of the minister seems to be the last desperate attempt of the government to loose the least, not falling definitely under the pressures of the conservative side of the Diet, which is little by little obtaining some favours also inside the Landsraad.
But Prime Minister Rumaki seems determined to win this battle.
With a surprising move she took the occasion of this crisis to appoint Marquis Jan Van Egeland-Sondenburg as new Minister for Foreign Affairs.

Prominent member of the Tarajan Social-Democratic Party, and first social-democrat to be appointed in a government position in the Tarajani history, Van Egeland-Sondenburg is reknown for his wide experience in diplomacy and international affairs (he strongly supported the Treaty with New-Zealand, also personally making the first draft), and for holding strong ties with representatives of the Blue and White Party as well.
He also continously expressed his deep support for the House Van Vinkel, thus making him the perfect man for a compromise between the historical rivals, while at the same time pushing up the liberal/social-democrat-friendly line followed by the King and the government until now.
But, particularly, he is also known for his anti-Eurussian attitudes (even if he always demonstrated respect also toward the Empire).
Soon after the announcement, the new Minister released an interview: "I believe it is my duty to begin my path in this Ministry by clarifying the position of New Tarajan toward the SOWESO intervention: the words of my predecessor were simply a sign of friendship toward Eurussia, nothing else. We don't want absolutely a SOWESO intervention outside our continent, no matter the reason. The SOWESO will never intervene outside this continent, and it will never be involved in conflicts that do not threat the safety of this continent.
The organization was founded to protect the countries of the South-West, and only them."
It has also been announced that Princess Rumaki will renounce to her seat as Minister of Economy, leaving it to Countess Elizabeth Wilhelmine Van Aardenne, famous economist of already chairman of the Union Investment Group: a decision clearly aimed to both strenghten the role of the Prime Minister (who will focus her attention only on this role) and increase the quality of the economic policies of the Kingdom. More importantly, Countess Van Aardenne is reknown as a supporter of the Custom Union proposed by Europe.

After weeks goodwill Unilateral Regional Intervention against the three rogue nations that caused the global offensive, the mission ends with another great success.
