Second Naming Continents Convention
SECOND WA CONVENTION ON NAMING CONTINENTS
The RS Arveyres wishes to hastily finish the naming of all of the continents due to the recent uncalled for expansion of the map. In order to finish it, we will be conducting a convention on naming the continents. At the end of the convention, a bill regarding the new names of the continents will be placed before the Parliament for implementation as a law.

Notes:
- The continents with names labeled do not change unless brought before the convention.
- The small island south of the Mnemosyne continent shall be included in the continent.
- The red continent and the orange continent shall merge.

Orange continent: Adelia
Yellow continent: Zephyria
Cyan continent: Intermaria
Violet continent: Androposia
Beige continent: Altsangria
Rose continent: Dracaunia
We are really a huge huge world now! lol
Thanks Arveyres for doing this.
I thought Farshonia will initiate this.
Anyways, I suggest we combine red and orange since they physically look like connected. Furthermore, I would like to ask Arveyres where did he get these names. I personally perfer Greek names..
Re: Second Naming Continents Convention
Adelia: I derived it from the Greek word for cold.Great Eurussia wrote:

Zephyria: Also derived from Greek word for west.
Intermaria: Taken from Latin meaning between the ocean.
Androposia: A Gnomish name meaning Stone City
Altsangria and Dracaunia: I really don't know they just came to me

Great. What can you say on combining the red and orange zones? And I think Altsangria and Dracaunia must be replaced with a greek word with simple spellings and easy to pronounce like the rest of the names you've came up with.

As for Altsangria and Dracaunia, would the names Chromatia and Thratia work respectively?

If you can get people to support your name changes then I will try to implement them.

Sorry but those are not good names for places.
Re: Second Naming Continents Convention
How about some names based on Roman provinces like Gallia or Hispania.

I prefer the first names proposed in this thread. I think are excellent for the new continent.

Re: Second Naming Continents Convention
We should name continents after cities in Kansas. Thus, we need Topeka, Wichita, Overland Park, Olathe, Salina, Lawrence, and Manhattan to be the names of the new continents.
Re: Second Naming Continents Convention
No we have already came up with names and that would be picking favourites. these are just random names.Aloia wrote:We should name continents after cities in Kansas. Thus, we need Topeka, Wichita, Overland Park, Olathe, Salina, Lawrence, and Manhattan to be the names of the new continents.
Re: Second Naming Continents Convention
Olathe is a Shawnee word meaning beautiful. It would be a great name for a continent!

No I don't think so. Names ending in -ia are better.

Re: Second Naming Continents Convention
I think Minnesota is a superior name for a continent.
Or perhaps Francia?
