Just as a reminder for everyone, this conference has until May 30, 2014, before the pause on the Second Continentalization Act will end. The first debate term still has two days left, along with two possible term renewals. Note that the Speaker does not wish to rush progress, but wants everyone involved be mindful of the time.

That being said, I encourage everyone interested in naming the new continents to please let your voices be heard. Thank you for you time.

For the original continents, here they are: (abbreviations are the colors)

(V) Asia
(B) Atlantis
(R) Olympia
(G) Oceania
(Y) Polynesia
(O) Micronesia
(P) Mnemosyne

And for the new continents, I rearranged it and used temporary names!

(LV) Outer Asia

(LG) Outer Oceania

(LR) Outer North Atlantis

(LB) Outer West Atlantis

(LY) Outer Northwest Mnemosyne

(LP) Outer Southwest Mnemosyne

Excuse me? This conference is not directly tied to the legislation. This conference will go on until we reach a final proposal.

About the question of the names: wouldn't it be better to give the new continents completely new names?

All of them? I would be in favour of that because I think that the WA names take places from RL places too much.

Only to the new ones, not to the first ones.
I do not see why not giving them new names instead of something like "Outer Southwest Mnemosyne". Indeed, it could create problems in the future RPs with eventual confusions. And, also, I guess that the countries which will in future occupy those lands deserve to feel themselves part of a continent, and not the periphery of another one.

I proposed unique names in the beginning if you would like to use that as a structure?

lol they were left that way by the nations on those continents so let us leave it that way. But we'll see if we can come up with new ones! And I guess we should focus first on the new continents!

Due to the fact that our Local News doesn't lead to any "Local News"; I would never let the continent I am on be called Polynesia if I knew about it. And I was the first nation on "Polynesia" and never decided to call it that.

I really hope we can be original rather than cookie cutting.
