International Tournament
International Tournaments will be held in Konzbator, Apepistan
The first time after centuries, Ahet-Apep LII has announced that a Kurultaj will be held in Konzbator. The event serves two purposes: first, it is a diplomatical meeting to express friendship and cooperation between nations. Second: It is an old-style tournament, where various competitions will be held.
The list of the competitions:
- Horse racing
- Chariot racing
- Spear throwing
- Jousting
- Sharpshooting (Bow, crossbow, rifle, mounted archery)
- Traditional wrestling
- Traditional Fencing
- Melee
Other events:
- Combat demonstrations and parades
- Informational presentations about military history and tradition of nations
- Historical reenactment scenes
- Cultural exhibitions of participating nations; concerts
Every nation who wishes to participate in the Kurultaj is free to join.
(OOC: Think Olympics but with a more traditional and cultural touch.
The list of competitions is complete, every nation can pick one competition in which his team is very strong, which would give a +20 to that roll, or 2 competitions in which his team would get +10 to the rolls.
I will use a random number generator set from 1 to 100, for every nation for every competition, most likely this: http://www.randomnumbergenerator.com/custom.asp . All you need to join is to say so, and state the one or two strongpoints of your national team! The event itself will be on this weekend, GMT+1 timezone.)
Participants:
Apepistan - Strongpoint: Horse racing, Sharpshooting: Mounted archery
Atlantica - Strongpoint: Fencing, Sharpshooting: Rifle
US of Scouting - Strongpoint: Chariot racing, Sharpshooting: Rifle
Xolox - Strongpoint: Jousting, Melee
Azotakza - Strongpoint: Fencing, Sharpshooting: Rifle

Re: International Tournament
I find this idea rather unique, Atlantica wishes to take part in Sharpshooting(all types) Traditional Fencing, The Informational Events, jousting and finally we would like to recommend 4 things, a gladiatorial torment (to first blood), chariot racing, A Duel to between world leaders with swords(to first blood) and finally a Naval torment where each side a s fleet of 5 ships each a different type and the first side to sink all of the opponents wins.

Chariot racing is in order.
Naval tournament is not possible; the Kurultaj in Apepistan is set on a traditional place, and being in the middle of the steppe, there is no large body of water in which a game like that could be held.
Gladiators were slaves who fought for pleasing the people, on the Kurultaj participants are free men fighting for honor. It would be offensive to the people of Apepistan and their tradition to degrade a Kurultaj tournament with gladiatorial fights.
This is a friendly competition, and duels between world leaders could easily turn it into a diplomatical issue, there will be no such event. If a leader wishes to participate, he can do so by being a member of his national team.

Re: International Tournament
Please also state what your national teams strongpoint/s is/are.
(OOC: I will use a random number generator set from 1 to 100, for every nation for every competition, most likely this: http://www.randomnumbergenerator.com/custom.asp . As I said, one nation can either have 2 strongpoints to which they'll get +10 +10, or one to which they'll get +20. I made a list of participants on the first post, Apepistan stands there as an example.)

OOC: This would be a really long list of names, I think that once the results are in, the top 3 participants would be named. Also, I'll record the process of calculating the results and will put it on youtube.

Re: International Tournament
Xolox's strong points lie in jousting and the melee. Loxans hold tournaments similar to these fairly regularly to prove their honor and virility. In Loxan culture, traditional weapons and methods are seen as more honorable, although we recognize the advantages of and use modern weapons.
At the behest of his beloved citizens, the Emperor will be participating in the competition.
OOC: Maybe for every strength(+10), countries must also take a weakness(-10). And using that, countries could have more than two strengths, though it would weaken their chances elsewhere.

You're all welcome on the Kurultaj! Thank you for joining this event!
OOC: I want to keep it simple for the first time, see how it goes, etc, maybe next time we can spice it up with additional rules

Re: International Tournament
The results are in!
Great Eurussia and Empire of Russia have not mentioned any strongpoints, so I gave them jousting and traditional fencing. (Why that? I was thinking of cossack culture)
- Horse racing: 1st: Xolox, 2nd: United States of Scouting, 3rd: Azotakza
- Chariot racing: 1st: Great Eurussia 2nd: New Rhodinia 3rd: Xolox
- Spear throwing: 1st: Great Eurussia 2nd: United States of Scouting 3rd: Empire of Russia
- Jousting: 1st: United States of Scouting, 2nd: Herbstland 3rd: Azotakza
- Sharpshooting, bow: 1st: New Rhodinia 2nd: Azotakza, 3rd: United States of Scouting
- Sharpshooting, crossbow: 1st: Herbstland, 2nd: Omega Atlantica + Great Eurussia, 3rd: Xolox
- Sharpshooting, rifle: 1st: Apepistan 2nd: Omega Atlantica 3rd: New Rhodinia
- Mounted archery: 1st: Omega Atlantica 2nd: United States of Scouting 3rd: Xolox
- Traditional wrestling: 1st: Apepistan 2nd: New Rhodinia 3rd: Empire of Russia
- Traditional Fencing: 1st: Empire of Russia 2nd: Omega Atlantica 3rd: Apepistan
- Melee: 1st: Azotakza 2nd: Herbstland 3rd: United States of Scouting
The champions were rewarded each with a unique jeweled sabre, given to them by Ahet-Apep himself, after which, according to traditions, their names were carved into a great runestone at the feet of the sacred mountain at which the Kurultaj was held. After the competitions, the national teams all participated in the rest of the cultural events along with the thousands of visitors.

- OOC: Video and creating the results:
- So, here's the youtube link for the video. It's nothing complicated - I had the list of competing nations open, and generated numbers for them in that order, then I administrated these numbers into an excel table. I tried to pay as much attention to it as possible, and have double checked, but if there're some errors, please correct me about it.
