(Dismissed) LOA of Scottlands
I do not know how to do this but I am filing my leave of absence because I want to keep my seat in the Security Council and I won't be active for two to four weeks most probably. I will be having vacation in the Caribbean.

This is exactly how to do it. A better format would be this though;
Leave Date:
Return Date:
Reason:
But what you said works.

Request for the Leave of Absence of Scottlands
...
On the other hand, to ensure fairness, any member state of the WA Government, knowing that there is a strong probability of inactivity due to acceptable grounds, may file a leave of absence to the immediate head of the body, which in the case of the Security Council is its President and if the latter is the concerned member state to its immediate subordinates, stating the reasons for the leave of absence and the duration (via TG and Forum Post) which thereafter shall determine and approve the said request for a leave of absence. And if approved, the concerned member state may terminate the leave of absence (via Forum Post only) and cannot exercise its powers and privileges during the leave of absence.
By virtue of the WA Accountability Act, the President of the Security Council hereby brings the request as an executive resolution to be approved by the Security Council. And citing that the request is not an urgent matter, this vote is an open-ended vote.
The request, to be considered approved, must reach ten (10) votes.

Why is this a vote? He is notifying us of his leave, it's not like he can cancel his vacation if we vote no.

I concur, the Loas should just be approved by the President.

why do you need to vote if someone has a LOA, what if it is something serious or important IRL, they will just leave anyways... I think its a bit stupid having to vote for LOA

If his LOA will not be approved by the SC, he can be ejected from the Security Council via technicality under the WA Accountability Act.

You won't see me petitioning for his removal via the act. I feel it's quite unfair to require the SC's approval, especially considering that we require 10/13 people to vote in favor. I think it should be up to the President and/or the Vice-President whether or not it's accepted, then have a replacement in the meantime should one be available.

I agree with Omega and Scouting, you just can't stop living your personal life for an online game

Indeed. For that matter, the Act must be amended. Other wise, the effects will still be the same.
Re: (Dismissed) LOA of Scottlands
Scouting hereby withdraws our approval of Scottland's LOA, seeing as he was able to log in after almost 7 days to vote on WASC matters. Either he should be on LOA and vacationing, or shouldn't be on LOA.
