SOWESO Council Session

Dear friends and colleagues,
I hereby declare open the first session of the Council of the Heads of State and Government of the South-Western Security Organization.
Since this is the first official meeting of the Organization, we have to handle with some important organizative issues:

1) The election of Chairman of the Council

2) The election of the Secretary General

3) The proposal of a cooperation agreement with the WAAF

4) The granting to United States of Europe of the Observer rank in the Organization.

OOC: Please, take note that this first meeting is being hold in the Tarajan City HQ.

The Eurussian Ambassador to SOWESO based at the GHQ in Velikogovolka, Antanares will be attending the session to represent the interests of Eurussia.

OOC: I officially based the Council in Antanares (except for this first Session..all the others will be located in Velikogovolka); the Secretariat and the diplomatic representations will be located in Tarajan City.

OOC: I prefer to have my Ambassador to the SOWESO to maintain its diplomatic office and be based at the Headquarters in Velikogovolka, Antanares.

OOC: It would be a very unusual thing...and it could be easily seen by the Tarajani government as a sign of mistrust and disrespect, which would be a paradox since Eurussia entered in a security organization founded by Tarajan itself. By the way, if you insist, I am sure Antanares will have no problems.

OOC: Antanares doesn't have any problem with the decision of the eurussian government.

IC: Antanares's ambassador to the SOWESO expresses his approval for a cooperation agreement with the WAAF and for the enter of the USE in the SOWESO with the rank of observer.
Also, Antanares wait for eventually candidates to the rank of Chairman and Secretary.

OOC: I've just changed the location of the Secretariat and diplomatic representations in Velikogovolka, in order to not create problems to our eurussian ally. The Council will be permanently hold in Tarajan City, then.
Also, I have to inform that the Council is composed by Head of State and Government, not by ambassadors. Their role is to keep the ties between the Organization and the Member States, not to participate to the Council.

New Tarajan express its approval for both the cooperation agreement with the WAAF and the accordance to USE of the Observer rank.
Regarding the agreement, we can prepare a draft soon after the vote of the other Members.
Also, New Tarajan candidates itself for the Secretariat.

Antanares propose a war games between the nations of the SOWESO. The exercise, called "Blue South Lion", opened for all members of the SOWESO, would be an occasion to compare the armies of every members and also an occasion for a first kind of cooperation.
The exercise would be composed by two part:
- A naval and air exercise, where our forces, divided into two team, would fight against the other team. A sophisticated software would create a war situation; during the simulation the ships and the planes of the two faction would use this software to recreate their attack and defense systems. A good place for the exercise would be the Cape Wolf Bay.
- A land exercise, similar to the Naval and Air. Two teams, rifles with blanks and a software for the vehicles. A good place would be the area at south of Arcadia, in Antanares.

Who want to join must respond here, entering the forces that would deploy for the exercise.

Eurussia supports the proposal of our ally, Antanares, for multilateral exercises within SOWESO and move it be named as "SOWESO Exercises." In addition to this, we will disclose the participating units from our forces.

(1) unit from the Imperial Army,

Stryker Armoured Personnel Carrier :

(1) unit from the Imperial Navy,

Freedom Class Littoral Combat Ship :

(1) unit from the Imperial Air Force,

AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopter :

OOC: I am authorizing Antanares to make use of these 3 units from my armed forces on news created by Antanares alone for the purpose of SOWESO Exercises.

New Tarajan approves the exercises.
We believe they are a wonderful occasion to share operational knowledge and experience between the allied countries, and also to increase the trust between our militaries.
We propose as official name: "Blue South Lion - SOWESO Joint Exercises" (to make everyone happy).
About our military units involved, we will send the 1st and 2nd Fleet (the 2nd is actually already stationing in Antanares), the 21st Marine Division, the 23rd Airborne Division, the 11th and 12th Air Squadron, and the 5th Mech Squadron.
His Majesty the King will personally attend the exercises, observing them from the bridge of our flagship, the T.N.S. Conrad III.

Antanares would accept the new name and deploys, for the exercise, the 1st and the 4th Fleet, the 23th, the 24th and the 25th Marine Divsion, the 17th Air Superiority Squadron, the 34th Bomber Squadron and the 2nd Mechanized Infantry.
Also, we want to prepare for the forces of the foreign nation the military base of High Wind, in the region of Arcadia and the port of Cape Wolf for the ships what coming.

Why Blue South Lion? Is there any relevance of that name to SOWESO Exercises? If none, Eurussia will be against it.

I've two motivation for the name "Blue South Lion - SOWESO Exercise"

Blue recalls the color of the sky, the sea and of the flags of the main members of the SOWESO (almost all), South is the position of the continent on the map, Lion is the national animal of the House Delencourt (now changed in the Wolf by His Highness). Also, it's a cool name for our first exercise.

Shirouma would like to have a more important position in the alliance.

As for the exercises we approve it, 5th Division of Infantry and the 10th Fleet of Shirouman Navy is to be present at the exercises.

"Lion" has completely no relevance to SOWESO, with utmost respect to our ally, Antanares. The "Blue" and the "South" is much acceptable. The SOWESO is a multilateral organization that must represent all, no exception.

Well since it is now clear, Eurussia won't oppose it. However, let us drop "south" and "blue" and simply call it SOWESO Lion Exercises.
