Marquette's king falls grievously ill

Marquette's beloved king, Vincent II has fallen grievously ill quite suddenly. He has been hospitalized in North Eznurf Hospital Durand, but there has still yet to be word on what his sickness is. Crown Prince Fréderic IV has returned to Eznurf from Fuertaventura to be with his ill father. More news is to come on the matter.

ROYAL FAMILY EN ROUTE TO MARQUETTE

After hearing of Marquette's king's condition, the House of Nordahl has boarded their planes to visit their dying friend.

Among the royals heading to Eznurf are Prince Eric, who was High King of Aloia, before abdicating after the murder of his husband at the hands of rebels, and Princess Aetra, mother of Marina and Eric and former queen who abdicated after suffering a heart attack. Aetra and Vincent ruled when Aloia and Marquette established their close relationship and Eric's homosexuality was what convinced Vincent to approve Marquette's gay marriage bill.

Empress Marina, who recently revealed she was pregnant, will also be heading to Eznurf with her husband, Emperor Andre.

HSV (Holden Special Vehicles), A NZC based subsidiary of NZ Automobile Manufacturer Holden, has released a new performance car called the "GTS". The car features a 6.2L Supercharged V8 which comes as a direct competitor to the Pontmercy S-C, A Paristian built Hybrid/Electric automobile. Lately HSV have been locked in fierce competition with Pontmercy, who are both fighting for dominance with their respective beliefs. Pontmercy is going for a new unorthodox "Eco-Friendly" and "Green" automobile industry, whilst HSV have been strong supporters of a conventional V8 internal combustion engines. Both fight savagely for dominance, with extensive backing from their respective governments. The Automobile Industry is now locked in furious battle; "Green" vs "Petrol", "Pontmercy" vs "HSV" and ultimately a struggle between Autreville, NP (Home of Pontmercy) and Australia, NZC (Home of HSV).

As expected, Johnsonville, NZ (Home of Holden) has also been dragged into the conflict. Holden however remains in a secure position due to its more liberal policies of automobiles. Though they still produce 6.0L V8s, they have begun focussing on more eco-friendly cars, with most sedans running 3.6L V6s along with small cars running 1.4L I4.

Crown Prince Fréderic expresses gratitude towards Aloia


Crown Prince Fréderic IV shows gratitude towards the Aloian royal family for making a trip to Marquette in support of its king. He has prepared several rooms at the Royal Palace for them to stay at. The doctors are still not telling the public what his ailment is.

The European project of the World Alliance Custom Union begins to bear fruit.

The first nation in the region, the Federation of Antanares, has officially joined to the one that almost certainly will become the largest economic community in the region.

According to recent news, another nation, New Tarajan, would be on the road to accession at the Costum Union.
Also through the press releases of the two ministries mentioned above, the Government hopes that accession can take place as soon as possible.

The two ministries also know that they respectfully accept the choice of New Paristan, which, as we know, has recently refused to join the Custom Union.


Furthermore, regarding the recent actions of Ivania, the two ministries have made ​​it known that he hoped Ivania can join as soon as possible, and also told to better manage the public order.

Ivanian troops and naval forces have arrived in Snarfia and Georgia. The naval and Air power have been sent to Georgia whilst the Infantry and Mechanized have been sent to Snarfia. Reportedly, when Ivanian Air Marshal Sikliz Audruzhy began the attack on BL forces he radioed the GLA forces "Here comes the cavalry!"

Marquette's king, Vincent II has been diagnosed

King Vincent II has been diagnosed with a severe subarachnoid hemorrhagic stroke. Doctors have been working around the clock for the past few days to stop the bleeding, but they are unsuccessful so far. It seems as though the bleeding is increasing, instead of slowing down. If the doctors are unable to stop the bleeding in the next 24 hours, death is surely imminent for Marquette's beloved king.

Meanwhile, Jacques Renault, an engineer with the Pontmercy cooperative auto factory in Autreville, had this to say about the boasting of New Zealand's Holden Automobiles.

HSV has announced that it also plans to incorporate Hydrogen ICE in its upcoming ranges, but also reminded that it does not plan to release any new cars in the near future. However, the Gen-f range is undoubtably the last Petrol model range to be produced and released in NZ.

In other news, The Holden CEO has released a equally scornful reply to Pontmercy. His exact words were :

You seem to talk the talk, but can you walk the walk? I was hoping to see this so called "S-C" your boasting about, but I never really got a chance to see one yet.... probably cause it ran out of electricity on the way there. You talk so much about us "running out of oil" but have you stopped to consider your cars run out of battery faster than a Commodore SS can lap a race track... And incase you didn't realize, the SS is pretty damn fast. It seems like your looking for a good ol' scrum, and your choosing to place yourselves against one of the oldest and most successful car manufacturers in the WA, and for that I applaud you. You may think you've won, and Holden is out of the way, on account of petrol running out rapidly, but thats where you're wrong. We've got new engines that are better than ever before, and they're running a fuel that can never run out. We're nowhere near done... Why, we've only just begun.

Kiwi Kerfuffle Escalates?

The recent pissing match between Pontmercy and Holden has a lot of people buzzing. Asked by our intrepid reporter Megan Kelly to comment, Paristani documentary film and pornography producer Ken Buns had this to say: "Hydrogen power? Good luck getting the infrastructure up and running for that boondoggle."

Meanwhile, at the Pontmercy plant, a group of workers were seen bent over with their butts in the air displaying the message "SCREW THE KIWIS." It was just a shame that most of the workers who chose to participate in this little juvenile jape weren't the ones you'd necessarily want to.

As competition between Holden and Pontmercy escalates, the NZ and NZC Governments have become involved, taking the challenge personally. The first action taken by the governments was additional funding to both Holden and HSV from both respective governments. Holden is expecting a $20bn funding boost from NZ over the next 2 years, whilst HSV is expecting a $6bn boost in funding from the NZC Government over the next year. This is not an surprising course of action considering both companies are state owned, and as most accountants would tell you, the Governments are essentially owners, and the boost in funding is essentially the introduction of new capital. There are also reports that the NZ Government is scrambling to make trade deals with other nations with the intention of boosting the prowess of Holden in the global automobile industry.

I think its safe to say, the NZ and NZC governments are taking Pontmercy's claims as a personal insult.

The NZ government has begun a massive infrastructure upgrade which will see all fuel stations in the country receive at least 1 Hydrogen fuel pump. Alongside this, the Social Democracy has started constructing the new "Super-Reactor" on a small island slightly off the NZ Mainland. The "Super-Reactor", which there are actually 5 off, will provide electricity primarily to the massive electrolysis plant which produces Hydrogen from sea water. The total construction (Reactors and Infrastructure) is expected to cost $72bn NZD and take around 6 Months (IN GAME) to complete. The new hydrogen production facility and Super-Reactor(s) are expected to employ around 600 People and run 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Marquette's Controversial King Vincent II Breathes his Last

After days of struggling with an immense stroke, Marquette's king has finally breathed his last. Vincent II was the ninth member of the current ruling family to inherit the throne. His son, Fréderic IV will now take the throne, as well as control over the Senate. He is to be crowned and given his official title, His Majesty the Esteemed Monarch of the Kingdom of Marquette, Fréderic IV, next week.

Amid recent peaceful clashes between Conservatives and Liberals, Fréderic's inheriting of the throne is bound to make some angry, especially since he has already been dubbed, "the most Conservative monarch ever to sit on the Marquetien throne" by his Liberal critics. We will just have to see what the future brings for Marquette in these turbulent times.
