Researchers at New Sokolia State University in St. Helens, New Sokolia, have released the results of a 10-year study of glaciers all over the world and the effects of climate change on them. The team studied glaciers in Eurussia and Deanson at the northern extremes of the world and former Farshonia, Rebordja, and Anglosphere in the southern extremes of the world.

The results were stunning. Lone Wolf Glacier in Rebordja has retreated approximately 11 miles in 10 years and the Fedchenko Glacier in Eurussia has retreated a whopping 20 miles in 15 years. The results have led many Aloian and Genolian leaders to call for an international conference on climate change and how to slow it down.

The report commented on how most nations have adopted green policies, but expressed fears that the policy changes may have come too late.

The overseas constituent country of Yellasia is being threatened by rising sea levels, and may be the first major, direct victim of climate change. The island nation, along with Georgia, was hit with a devastating tsunami earlier, resulting in 4,000 Coreelian deaths and many displaced homes.

The country's major island will not see any immediate effects; however, many inhabitants live on isolated atolls at low sea levels. People have existed on these islands for centuries, and are calling on the international community to take action.

It is believed that if current trends continue, the big island may be all that is left of Coreelia, and even it won't remain unaffected.

Critics within Yellasia have criticised the Yellasian government for its inability to fix the environmental problems in the Low Republic lingering ever since before the Great War. Efforts have been made with success, but it is not enough.

This comes as New-Zealand leads the world in a new "equal rights revolution", one which sees any and all persons being granted an equal status in society. It all started years ago when NZ became one of the first nations in the WA to openly declares its legality and support of LGBT's, their marriages and their adoption requests. Since then NZ has passed multiple laws such as the Anti-Smacking law and "Equal Rights Law". In addition to the LGBT rights, The Social Democracy has been making heavy moves to give women more power. Rape and forced prostitution are now the most severely punishable crimes, with harsher sentences than that of Treason against the state. The government has set up multiple "Welfare Offices" which are open 24/7 and accessible by text, call or online chat. The Welfare Offices serve the purpose of listening to the claims of the abused, and taking immediate action against the abusers. Just last week the NZ Welfare Department made headlines for jailing a parent (For 7 years) for forcing his daughter to get an arranged marriage. Only a week ago the Welfare Department made headlines again for fining a father ($60000 NZD) for smacking his child (The child is now under police surveillance and the parent is closely watched). This morning however, the Social Democracy made its biggest move yet. The Government has declared war against slavery (Particularly sex slaves). The NZ Armed forces are beginning a streak of raids which will see the worlds biggest Slavery rings crumble beneath the feet of the superpower. In order to save bureaucratic trouble, the soldiers have been ordered to shoot and kill all those involved in the trade. The primary way in which the Army does this is by "gate crashing" all Slave auctions and shooting every person in the building (Apart from the slaves). The slaves are then granted NZ Asylum and taken to a rehabilitation centre in one of the NZ islands(They are then usually rehoused on one of the NZSA Colonies). The Prime Minister however admitted that the case of Greecia was "unique", therefore they have granted Greecia a chance to repent. The nation has one week to abolish all slavery before the NZ Forces invade and forcefully liberate the slaves in what the Prime Minister termed "A brief but precise bloodbath". Over 2 million USS troops are being airlifted into Greecia. So far, troops are making slow but steady progress. Greecian resolve is strong, but the USS has a numbers and experience advantage. Approximately 1,000 slaves have been freed and granted asylum in the USS.

The Schorrian military has now freed 2,500 slaves. A quarter of all the slaves in Greecia. President Hyatt is urging Greecia to voluntarily free all remaining slaves in order to prevent unnecessary bloodshed. Until then, the President insists the campaign will go on.

PLAGUE SUCCESSFULLY CONTAINED

The Living Wine Plague that has tortured the Patrician wine production has recently been successfully contained to a small section of the Southern Holy Patrician States. The Yuktobanian Union to our south is advised to not bring or take any crops into or out of the South.

The LWP has yet to be found in other crops besides the Patrician Zinfandel and Champagne plants. Patrician wines are still not to be back on shelf until the disease is able to be fully eradicated.

We call on all nations of the world to help us in creating a safe and quick way to eradicate the plague.

He said that to support the government's initiative to further boost the country's burgeoning tourism industry as it relaxes its visa restrictions for tourists from the nation's allies, more security measures will be adopted sooner in all international border crossings, seaports and airports.

The Transportation Minister also said that the central government will closely work with the ducal governments to enforce more security measures for local mass transport terminals, mass transit, railways, and local airports whether there are threats or not.
