After a three-hour meeting in the Atrijani capital of Altaijan, a troop of SHAHRANI delegates marched out with wide grins. Shortly afterwards, a representative of Atrijan came out onto the steps with an unexpected message:

"Friends, comrades, I have happy news! As of 1:08 today, we have signed a Declaration of Friendship with SHAHRANI! They have been oppressed by the international community, and we will not stand for it!"

This new declaration means increased trade, visa-free travel for citizens of the two nations, embassies, and warmer relations. Given the political climate surrounding Shahrani, this is quite the unexpected move. We will have to see if anything more comes of it.

Military Holds Drills

Today the Ministry of Defense announced that all 4 branches of the military(Air Force, Marine Corps, Army, and Navy) will be holding military drills as part of annual exercises. This comes after recent tensions between Snarfia and Sharani. The Ministry of Defense has said that Ireland will not be getting involved in the conflict anytime soon nor does the government have a stance. But the recent buildup of the military and obvious show of power may prove otherwise. The population of Ireland is seemingly divided on the issue of the Snarfian conflict. With 41% of the country support getting involved in the conflict. 41% against getting involved and 18% with no opinion it is hard to tell where the government will go on this. Though the Prime Minister said "We will not let polling numbers affect our ultimate decision of getting involved. Though for now we will not get involved. But be assured if we do get involved it will be in joining up with our ally, Snarfia." The Prime Minister, who has been facing falling polling numbers, most likely won't make a move until he is sure that the international community is behind the move too.

Ireland Celebrates Victory

After a decisive victory in the English Civil War 200,000 soldiers and 50,000 sailors have returned home to a big celebration thrown in their favor. Prime Minister Theodore Garret, fmr President Aldric Burgsman, and fmr President Gregory Robinson were in attendance all of whom spoke. The celebration consisted of a massive parade through Dublin, the dedication of the English Civil War monument to remember the 350 soldiers who died during the war, and a massive block party where the three leaders spoke to the troops. The Prime Minister spoke first

"Patriots of this great country, your sacrifices will not go forgotten. You knew that the repercussions of what would happen if we lost. Yet you still fought on. You faced a nation that was not 100% behind you. But you knew what you were doing was right. No matter the costs. You fought on. For that we are eternally grateful. Time will move on. Leaders will change. This very nation will change. But we will never forget all that you did in the name of all that is dear to us. War...is not a good thing. But in today's society it is, sadly, a necessary thing. It is what decides a nation's way of life, it is what decides the survival of all that is good. You fine men and women are the shining examples of that very thing. Thank you and God Bless you all!"

President Burgsman was next to speak

"In my time as President or rather in my time in public office I saw this nation rapidly change. I was first elected as an MP in 1995 as a member of the New Republic party. A small party based in the north of the country. Never really gained steam. 2 years later I was made the President of the New Republic Party. It was trying to set up a Presidential Republic in Ireland. Until 2014 it gained no steam but then we saw the crippling effects of the current form of Monarchy. So I lead the fight for a change in the political system of this country. Due to my huge respect for the men and women who serve in our nations military I refused to resort to violence. We succeeded by peaceful standards. When I was President I made it a point to make the men and women who serve in the military a priority of our government. The sacrifices you made will certainly not be forgotten by me or anyone else in this country. Your story will live on forever. Outlasting you and possibly this nation. Thank you for all that you have done."

President Robinson only spoke six words "Thank you for all you've done."

Rumours heve spread over the country. Is the Snarfian Goverment making Snarfia a movie set? Anwser is: Yes, the Snarfian goverment signed a contract with the Newellian movie industry to take part in the filming of: "Blue Lantern".

"We can't tell any details about the movie yet. Why does the Snarfian goverment cooperate with the industry? The Newellian movie industry is offering a lot of money, which the Snarfian goverment can use in funding the reestablishment of Snarfia."

Leelah Alcorn (November 15, 1997 – April 24th, 2016) was reported yesterday to have committed suicide ar around 1 AM, UTC, and the nation is in shock and mourning.




Assigned male at birth and given the name Joshua Ryan Alcorn, she was raised in a conservative Christian household in Gracemaria. At age 14, she came out as transgender to her parents, Carla and Doug Alcorn, who refused to accept her female gender identity. When she was 16, they denied her request to undergo transition treatment, instead sending her to Christian-based conversion therapy with the intention of convincing her to reject her gender identity and accept her gender as assigned at birth. After she revealed her attraction toward males to her classmates, her parents removed her from school and revoked her access to social media. In her suicide note, Alcorn cited loneliness and alienation as key reasons for her decision to end her life and blamed her parents for causing these feelings. She committed suicide by walking out in front of oncoming traffic on the Interstate 71 highway.
Alcorn arranged for her suicide note to be posted online several hours after her death, and this has broken the hearts of millions of Emmerians.

In a speech addressing the woman, the final words of Sarah Hudson were screamed out.
"ARE YOU TWO [expletive] HAPPY,  YOU DOVE AN INNOCENT TRANSGENDER WOMAN TO DEATH! All she ever wanted was to be who she felt she was on the inside. After every agonizing second of conversion therapy, after every threat of hell, after every degrading word, all she wanted was your acceptance and love! WHY?! What was so hard for you two to understand!"

Today the Papa John's restaurant, ubiquitous in Newellia has officially set up shop in three, soon to be four countries: Ireland, Carolina, and Snarfia. This comes after the CEO made phone calls to the governments of these nations asking to open business in these nations. All of them agreed to allow them to open. A mystery fourth nation has also agreed to allow Papa John's to open up. Monsnarf, Charlotte, and Dublin have all been readied for at least five initial openings.

Checkpoint Bombing and Attack
Early today a truck coming from north Shahrani exploded in the first suicide attack carried out against the EDF killing the two privates manning the checkpoint, Private Applegate and Private Svenson. The explosion was followed by and infiltration attempt by insurgents as a convoy of 7 vehicles passed through the destroyed checkpoint but 4 were intercepted by a rapid response unit in a nearby panic room.
One vehicle was hit by an ATGM and the rest took cover in the town of Vedno, 3 escaped into Snarfian territory and another 3 were abandoned by their crew. The crew then engaged the rapid response team and a firefight took place.
In the firefight 15 insurgents were killed with but Captain Vicki Lines was also killed by an RPG. 10 civillians also lost their lives and a building was destroyed. The insurgents are believed are believed to be linked to a communist terror group operating out of Northern Shahrani and from the remains of the trucks it seems that they were carrying weapons.
President Bismark has condemned the attacks as a 'cowardly and violent acts of terrorism' and has vowed to take action against them.

As well as this the commander of EDF ground forces in the region, Major General Mansergh, has ordered that checkpoints are to be fortified and that civilian traffic has to go through two separate checkpoints.  

The Tanks Are Rolling In
After the recent attacks tanks are being deployed on various military checkpoints. They are intend to make the checkpoints more resistant to enemy bombs and gun fire. As well as this the Republican Guards Armoured Brigade is being sent in to act as a rapid response force if the terrorists show signs of overrunning points in the DMZ.

Everywhere in the country people are celebrating Victory day. The day the goverment recalled a national holiday because of the victory on the SHDKZ. One of these national holidays got attacked by several Shahrani terrorist driving into crowds with a truck full of explosives. 1 truck was identified by the police after an search warrant came out for the 3 trucks.



2 other trucks made it to there destination. 1 exploded with the driver in it, the other did too and that terrorist got arrested later after civilians took him down and made sure he could do no more harm to the people without killing him.



Snarfian autorities have called for red alert around the country. People can go to there work and kids can go to school while the autorities have called for extra man and several military patrols in dense city's.

With reports of the Snarfia DMZ taking serious damage The Vitami Tribunal has agreed to allow 250 Officers of the Military police be deployed to the area to help strengthen its defense and try to deter any possible warfare

Airborne Landings
Today the Republican Guard of Eldslandet launched Operation Justice. At 0930 hours Snarfian and Eldslandeti Paratroopers landed in Caya, Dolores and at a compound 1000km North West of Paraiso, codenamed Viz.
The paratroopers were delivered to their locations by transport aircraft. Some of the aircraft came under fire from ground defences but none were lost and only three were damaged.
After the paratroopers landed there was some resistance from those loyal to the North Shahrani Peoples Army but after a few firefights most were wiped-out in Caya and at Compound Viz where it is understood that Eldslandeti Republican Paratroopers have killed upwards of 1000 members of the NSPA whilist losing 25 paratroopers. Snarfian loses remain unknown. At the compound they have reportedly captured NSPA leaders and Shahrani Officials who were all attending a secret meeting.
In Dolores it is understood that there is still fighting around the bridge and that forces there are up against a tank battalion.


Heavy Fighting in Corazol
At the same time as the airborne landings Snarfian artillery bombarded the town for half an hour before tanks of the Republican Guards Armour moved in and tanks of the Snarfian 15th Armoured Battalion have envelopped the town. The Republican Guards are succesfully fighting there way through the town and are expected to have overrun the NSPA defenders in a few hours. They have destroyed over 108 tanks and have killed upwards of 875 NSPA members.
Its understood that 3 of the Guards tanks have bee damaged and 1 destroyed as well as 18 dead and 57 wounded. The fghting still continues.

Corazol Taken
After Operation Justice began earlier today heavy fighting took place in Corazol between the Republican Guards Armoured Brigade and the People's Popular Militia of Corazol a subsidary of the NSPA. At 1040 a brief tank engagment took place between 452 NSPA tanks, IFVs, APCs and other technicals and 300 Republican Thunderchild tanks. All the NSPA tanks knocked out or abandoned in 5 minutes clearing the way for mechanised infantry to move in and clear out the buildings face to face with the enemy.
By 1225 hours the town was under the control of Eldslandeti forces. The Republican Guard lost 1 tank and 1 IFV which were both completely destroyed and 4 tanks and 7 IFVs that were fixable and sent back into the fray later that day. The NSPA all its vehicles with 310 being lost to hostile fire, the rest were abandoned. 50 Republican Guards were killed and 120 were injured compared to 1758 dead NSPA and 1242 captured or wounded. Its understood that 988 civilians were killed and that number is expected to rise.


Heavy Equipment flown into Paratroopers at Viz Compound
After the airborne landings paratroopers took the compound known as Viz and its inhabitants and set up a landing zone for heavy equipment to be delivered such as generators, barbed wire, landmines and artillery pieces so that a perimeter can be set-up as well as temporary medical facilities.


Fighting in Dolores Reaches a Standstill
Paratroopers in Dolores have been unable to capture the eastern side of the bridge which is being held by an armoured battalion which is being reinforced by a division of NSPA meaning the Republican Paratroopers are currently outnumber 3:1.
At 1300 hours the NSPA launched a counter attack against the Paratroopers on the Eastern side of the bridge. The attack was repelled 22 minutes later with a loss of 34 paratroopers and 90 wounded but the NSPA lost 3 tanks and 15 IFVs and an estimated 174 were killed.


A leak from within?
It is believed that in the early hour of the morning files relating to Operation Justice were either leaked or hacked giving the NSPA time to mobilise its fighters. Investigators are still searching for answers.

NEWELLIA DEPLOYS SPECIAL FORCES TO HELP CAPTURE DOLORES.
Following the declaration of war on North Shahrani, the Newellian government has ordered the deployment of 500 Newellian marines to help capture Dolores for the allies. This following a terrorist attack on Snarfia, Newellia's closest ally. Newelians love Snarfia, and are willing to sacrifice life and limb to help them, and by assisting in the war, they are displaying the meaning of the two nation's friendship. At 8 tonight, the president will deliver a speech regarding the war.

Snarfian naval vessels where patrolling the Northern Shahrani coast when suddenly came under attack by aircraft. Captains stated that the aircrafts came out of nowhere. And suddenly appeared above them without the radar giving attention. The Snarfian carrier Mahalo launched 5 airplanes before the aircrafts could fire. Pilots say that one airplane was huge, almost the size of the carrier. The other airplanes where weird shaped at when tried to get a lock on them caused them to suddenly stop in mid air and disappear. The big airplane fired a shockwave from the underside of the airplane which caused systems to fail and to cause fire on most ships.



A pilot with a camera maneged to make a picture of the Airplane just before disappearing. It's is identified as a Snarfian made airborne fortress named Gandr. This airplane was used by the Snarfian airforce and given to Shahrani as a peace offer. The airplane is supposedly captured by North Shahrani and is now being used against the invasion force.



Snarfia has only one more of this airplanes in service. The Gleipnir.

NEWELLIA UNVEILS P-112 AIGON AND KOTTOS AIR CARRIER.

Today, the P-112 AIGON sky carrier/cruiser has been unveiled, in hopes of countering North Snarfia's new aircraft. Also debuting are the Kottos air carriers.

The main weapons of the Aigaion, the Nimbus cruise missiles, allow it to engage aerial and ground targets at near-continental ranges, and is armed with an array of anti-air cannons, AAM launchers and flak guns dotted across the lower, upper and rear fuselage. It is powered by a fossil fuel core built beneath the main canopy, above its "mouth", which propel twenty-four engines arranged in rows of six on its trailing edges, allowing it to operate for three day periods before refueling. A squadron of six KC-10 Extender tankers are required to simultaneously refuel it in mid-air, a process that disables its forward radar.

Due to its massive size the Aigaion cannot land on conventional runways, but it is possible for it to land on water for maintenance under the jurisdiction of allies Navies.



NEW AIRCRAFT UNVEILED.
A new aircraft, the XB-70, is also making a debut, it is a new jet fighter that will be build and distributed to the Newellian and Snarfian air forces.

SHOCK AND AWE, NEWELLIA BOMBS NORTH Shahrani CAPITAL.
As of 8:00 PM, Newellia has sent 50 bombers and 100 fighter jets to the North Shahrani capital in an air attack known as "shock and awe" the main targets are military and industrial centers, with residential areas being almost completely ignored.

Tanks Keep Up The Pace
After the Battle of Corazol yesterday tanks and mechanised infantry continue to advance towards the town of Dolores today and have set up to rest overnight. Its believed that they will arrive in Dolores some time tomorrow to help paratroopers and Newellian Marines clear out the town and secure the vital river crossing.

After the use of super-heavy bombers by the NSPA the Eldslandeti Army has deployed 'Cobalt' bombs which are a type of missile that will release a burst neutrons when detonated killing the aircrafts occupants via a deadly dose of radiation.

With the war in Shahrani Civilians from the war-torn area try to escape to safety. Thousands take ships up north and land on vitamin shores. The lord commissioner responds to this humanitarian Crisis to help the refuges find a home in Vitami or its outskirts and has called on the WA to have this war end in a peaceful solution

With 25% of the Newellian marine forces gone, Newellia has urged the forces there that they must not give up. captured Rocket launchers and air strikes are helping out the Newellians, but overall this has been a bloody battle. the Newellian government is ordering a semi full scale invasion of North Shahrani, with 80,000 Newellian troops being sent, with 1,000 of them aiding the marines and other allied forces in Dolores.

NEWELLIAN MISSILE LAUNCHERS TAKES OUT ENEMY FORCES IN DOLORES OUTSKIRT

After days of heavy fighting Dolores has been taken by the Guards Armour and Newellian Marines.
Tank forces rushed across the bridge in the early hours of the morning securing a bridgehead from which paratroopers and Newellian marines were able to break through. The NSPA fought to the death and staged their last-stand in an council flat which was raised to the ground by Newellian artillery. In the fighting Lt. General Anderson's tank was hit by a SVBIED killing him and the others inside. In total 24 Republican Guards and 421 Newellian Marines were killed compared to 12,000 NSPA. Civilian casualties are expected to be high.
Lt. General Anderson's replacement is the newly promoted Lt. General Gutierez.


Fighting inbetween Caya and Gulan
After Snarfian Airborne units landed in Caya on Thursday the situation had been very quiet until now as units of NSPA Alshshueub Milishia Shaebia advanced towards Caya but were stopped and routed by dug in Snarfian defenders.
Attacks in the next few days are expected to intensify as forces organise.

NSPA Protection Units move in around Viz compound meaning that the two brigades of Republican Paratroopers there are now completely surrounded. The NSPA units are being kept at bay by artillery but its unknown how long this will be.

Snarfian paratroopers got intel from the Eldslandeti command that an NSPA armoured brigade was trying to attack the paratroopers at 06:00 local time.

The fighting lasted one hour. The paratroopers had dug in and prepared themselfs with new javelin missile launchers and new BMP-3's.

The fighting was fierce and has cost the lifes of at least 7 paratroopers while NSPA casualties are still rising or survivors are fleeing.

Tanks in Caya
After tanks of the guards armoured brigade broke through at Dolores they kept up a steady pace of 560km per day until they met up with Snarfian Airborne Troopers today in Caya.
They were met by crowds of cheering citizens, from the nearby villages, who were ecstatic to be liberated from the seemingly psychotic government of North Shahrani. Now allied soldiers are on the outskirts of Gulan and are hoping to take it tomorrow.


Artillery Duel begins at Viz Compound
After the compound at Viz was completely surrounded by NSPA forces a fierce artillery duel has broken out between Eldslandeti gunners using the sophisticated 105mm Light Gun and the NSPA artillery units using a variety of outdated towed artillery, rockets and SPGs. At the moment it is unclear who will win.


Controversy over the Battle for Dolores
After the Battle of Dolores was secured as an EA victory by the Republican Guards many were shocked by the brutality of the fighting and were shocked at high civilian death toll which is rumoured to be as high as 21,000. As well as this up to 100,000 are believed to have left the town as refugees after their homes were destroyed.

With the war escalating in North Shahrani already a quarter of the refuge population has entered vitami's borders. Some are claiming, Newellia, Eldslandet and Snarfian Federation are the real crnimals not the NSPA with claims of families being killed by indiscriminately by foreign invaders and are demanding they leave there homeland and be granted sovereignty. The lord commissioner is keeping to stick to neutral stance how ever has stated to lean in favor of a WA inquiry into the costs of the war.

NEWELLIAN FORCES ASSIST ALLIES AT VIZ COMPOUND

Newellian forces today are assisting the war effort at the viz compound with the aforementioned troops being deployed. They arrived a couple of days ago to assist the troops fighting against the NSPA.
