Following the razing of the Aloian capital city of Germaine, the Aloian government has announced the reconstruction of the great city. The reconstruction has been given the name Project Phoenix and the new city will be named Augusta.

The site on Aloia Bay where Germaine is now located was chosen by Queen Augusta the Wise for the location of a royal palace. Nobles built their homes around Germaine Royal Palace and soon more people started pouring into the village. Germaine Palace became the official residence of the Royal Family and so Germaine became the capital of the Aloian Empire. The High Council Hall and Senate Hall were both built later in the Age of Democracy.

Germaine remained the seat of Aloian government until it became entirely overrun by undead during the zombie apocalypse on April 1, 2013. The Aloian military ordered the city to be bombed to the ground to eliminate the undead threat to the rest of the country. Augusta will be built and will become the seat of Aloian government once again. Augusta is named for Queen Augusta the Wise.

ALOIAN GOVERNOR GENERAL ELECTIONS UNDERWAY

Hadrian Rhodes' third term as governor general of Aloia is coming to an end and he has announced that he does not intend to run for governor again. He plans to retire to his family's home in Rhodes Garden with his husband, Sol Anton.

CANDIDATES

Progressive Party-Georgia Österreich
Osterreich has served as Lady Councilor of Sokolia since 2006. Before that, she served on the Sokolia District Council, representing Rhodes Garden. Osterreich is considered the frontrunner, leading in the polls with 64% of respondents declaring their support of her. She also has Hadrian Rhodes' endorsement as his successor.


Libertarian Party-Martin Haas
Haas has served as mayor of Mercury Bay, Lesel, since 2009. Before then, he worked as a prosecutor for the City of Mercury Bay. Haas has 26% of the votes among respondents, but he still has a chance to come back.


Conservative Party-Reverend Oliver Erickson
Erickson is the pastor of a large church in Simone-on-Rhodea. He only has about 9% of the votes among respondents and he has taken a very strong stance on many issues, including supporting a repeal of same-sex marriage laws and increasing restrictions on abortion. Many analysts believe his stance on these issues are what have hurt him in the polls.

The late Prezident Alexi Kamenkov's funeral was held today in the capital city of Canadia. The parliament building, where the official service was held, was filled hours before the event and the crowd covered much of the inner city. Representatives from over 36 different countries attended, including several heads-of-state as well as many other government officials. Monitors were set up in public areas and the service was broadcast on the state-owned television network as well as several others. Nearly the entire country was shut down, with only emergency services still operating normally.




It has been nearly 150 years since the last Emperor ruled Novo Canuckia, and 130 years since any member of the Imperial family who refused to renounce their claim on the throne was executed. But today, shortly before the late Prezident's funeral, one of the last remaining branches of the Imperial family -the only one which still holds a legitimate, legal claim on the throne- returned from their century and a half long exile. It is still unknown whether the family will try to assert their claim on the throne, but whether they do or not, there will be those who would fight and die to restore the ancient ruling family of Novo Canuckia to it's rightful place.

ALOIAN-PATRICIAN ACT OF MARRIAGE



The royal marriage of Aloian Prince Henry, age 25, and the Patrician Blessed Empress Giovanna, age 23, is announced to happen later this week. Notifications to the rulers of all nations have been sent to propose their attendance to the royal marriage of the two nations. Upon the date of their marriage, the titles of the rulers will be changed, from Henry, his Patrician name is to be Henri, Emperor Consort, the Aloian title for Giovanna is still undecided.

ALOIAN ROYAL MARRIES PATRICIAN MONARCH


The House of Nordahl has announced that Prince Henry, second son of Queen Aetra and second in line to the throne of Aloia, has proposed marriage to Giovanna, Empress of the Holy Patrician States. The wedding will be later this week in HPS. Many Aloians are already booking flights and hotel reservations to attend the historic wedding. This will bring the Patrician and Aloian Royal Families together and strengthen relations between the nations.

Following the wedding, Prince Henry will gain the title Emperor Consort of the Holy Patrician States and retain his title of Prince of Aloia and Duke of Saint-Luc. The Empress will become a Princess of Aloia and the Duchess of Saint-Luc. In the event that Crown Prince Eric was unable to serve his duty as king when the time comes and he has no heir, the Empress and Emperor Consort will become King and Queen of Aloia also.

The Kingdom of Yellasia released a statement of neutrality after Europe and Asia declared war on Zakiristan. Yellasia's Foreign Minister condemned the declaration of war as "unnecessary aggression to punish Zakiristan".

Meanwhile, Yellasia's neighbour to the south, the Low Republic, has made threats to the Yellasia.

Dr. Low, the President of the Low Republic since 1988, promised to cripple Yellasia with a 'sea of fire', leading to fears that the Low Republic is eager to launch an invasion of Yellasia.

The Low Republic has a much larger military than Yellasia, estimated to be over three times larger. During peace time, Yellasia only allows a standing army of 40,000 soldiers. As a result, the Yellasian people are keen to stay out of war.

SCIENCE PROVIDES AN HEIR

Researchers at Stephen Rhodes University in Rhodes Garden, Sokolia, have announced momentous news in an open letter addressed to the House of Nordahl. EU SIGNS PACT WITH EUROPE & ASIA

The Chancellor of Eurussia lead the ceremonial signing of an alliance pact with Europe & Asia which was also lead by its visiting Premier in Moscow this morning. Both parties concluded the successful state visit that sealed the alliance between the two countries.

ALOIA OFFERS AID TO LONBONIA



Following the earthquakes in Lonbonia, the Aloian Red Cross and Royal Medical Association have both offered their services to the people of Lonbonia and are sending workers and supplies to the effected areas.

EU SENDS AID TO LONBONIA

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the government will be sending an expeditionary team from the armed forces to help in the rescue, recovery, and reconstruction efforts and operations in Lonbonia.

Hearing from the assistance of Eurussia and Aloia. His Highness King Joseph has travelled to both countries and offered the two parties Three Medals. And those were given only to the Historical King Leon.

The Social Democracy of New-Zealand has announced that it is immediately sending aid to Lonbonia following their massive earthquake. The government has also announced that it will be willing to pledge more money in return for trade deals if necessary. Though economists and independant financial advisors claim that $1 billion is more than enough to fund the intensive rescue operation and supply necessities and accommodation for those displaced in the earthquake.

Yesterday, in an extraordinary session, the European government has decided to send substantial aid in the territories of Lonbonia affected by the earthquake.
By the way, were the same as citizens to ask the government to help Lonbonia.

Amount of aid money
The Government has prepared a transfer of money equal to 1 billion euro, taken directly from government funds are not used (ie directly by the Treasury Ministry), to the coffers of Lonbonia.

5) The European Red Cross will send 5,000 men and 3,500 vehicles (all volunteers)
6) The various voluntary organizations will send about 4,000 men and 1,500 vehicles
7) The European Army will send 6,000 men and 4,500 vehicles (all totally unarmed, help the rescue of Lonbonia with vehicles and specialized equipment)
n addition, the State Police and the Carabinieri Corps are willing to send about 700 men and 400 vehicles for anti-profiteering services.
The Navy and the Air Force are willing to offer a fleet of 6 ships of logistical support and 15 transport planes to evacuate people.

EU DISCLOSES EUROPEAN BLOCKADE PLAN



The Ministry of Defense has disclosed in a press conference that they have received an alarming intelligence report that the European Government is planning to impose naval blockade on merchant vessels coming to and from Eurussia.

The ministry also disclosed that the European Government has been scrambling to save face for its citizens and international community on its weakness to combat terrorism which has been alarmingly spreading throughout its country. It also noted that the plan is one of its last resort to pressure the government to agree on its proposed terrorist swap compromised deal in which the government has resoundingly rejected.

The ministry warned its counterparts in Europe that such plans will be considered an act of war and will be reciprocated immediately by a massive naval offensive.
