Catham Islands' News Update
Thousands of school kids strike for refugee rights
Thousands of youngsters in Lübeck skipped class on Thursday morning to protest against a decision by the city authorities to refuse to give a group of asylum seekers permission to stay.
More than 3,500 pupils gathered at Lübeck's main train station and marched towards the city's Social Democratic Party headquarters.
They were demonstrating for a group of 300 Farshonian refugees that arrived from the island of Lampedusa to Lübeck soon after the Farshonian conflict began and want the right to stay. But the city’s senate sees no legal reason to allow them to remain, the Lübeck Morgenpost reported.
The strike was not backed by schools and pupils who took part were marked as absent in their registers. They also had to provide a letter from their parents as to why they were not in class, spokesman from the education authorities Peter Albrecht told the paper.
But the Education and Science Workers' Union (GEW) saw the pupils’ strike as “a hands-on politics lesson.”
Many of the refugees have, the Morgenpost reported, placed requests for asylum to the city government. This is a lengthy process which comes with no guarantee of being allowed to stay in the city.
Police: 'Please don’t make us wear blue'
Police in Ostphalia have voted against a uniform upgrade opting to keep the same forest-green outfits they have worn since the 70s. The state is the last in the Catham Islands where police do not perform their duties in UK regulation blue.
The distinctive Ostphalian police rig, featuring moss-green trousers and a heavy green tunic with a beige shirt, was designed in the 70s by Heinz Oestergaard, but since UK member states agreed on a unified standard blue for uniforms in 1998, all 9 other Cathamian states have ditched it.
However, despite the decades-old uniforms not being waterproof or breathable, a union poll of around 9,000 uniformed officers showed 56.9 percent wanted to keep it, as compared to 43.1 percent supporting the change to modern blue outfits, the Nordcatham Zeitung reported on Thursday.
Defenders of the traditional colour scheme argue it gives officers a "presence", while a switch to blue would make state police seem no different from federal officers, railway security guards or train conductors, all of whom wear blue.
But some find the uniforms antiquated and impractical, the Nordcatham reported. One officer said the thick tunic was "unwearable in the summer," while another opined the outfits were so ill-adapted for duty they must have been made for "couch potatoes."
And the unflattering female uniforms led one officer to say wearing it on duty made her feel she was being “laughed at," with ladies' trousers so loosely cut that it was impossible to look as smart as male colleagues.
"A lot of female colleagues prefer the male trousers as they sit on the hips better, are more modern and less ungainly," she added.
The Ostphalian police's apparent determination to keep their green has led to the state’s interior ministry to set up a special work group, and interior minister Joachim Herrmann is expected to give a press conference on the subject next week.
Jürgen Ascherl of the Cathamian Police Union (CPolG) told the Nordcatham a committee should be set up to do an online survey among all 27,000 Ostphalian uniformed police to find out once and for all what colour they should wear on the beat.
"Anything else is simply not representative," he said.

Orders have begun to roll in for police cars from the Chrysler Group. The car of preference for most orderers have been Dodge Charger SRT8 and the Chrysler 300C. Rumors have already arisen stating that the New Tarajani government is planning to sign an agreement to have the Chrysler group supply their entire police phase out their currently existing cars, though we have no official word on this. However, the NZ Government did state on behalf of the Chrysler Group that they were now taking orders for police (and official) cars.

All this was presented to the international press this morning, at a conference held by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, by the Ministry of Economic Development and by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy.

This is the National Guarantee Fund, a tool that supports a public guarantee to that provided by the companies themselves, or that totally replaces, in order to attract investment.
It is also activated the National Fund for Microcredit, which provides support to smaller businesses that would otherwise not be able to obtain financing.
But first of all, we see the extreme importance that small and medium-sized enterprises in the economic fabric of the nation.
The small-medium enterprises in the national economy
According to Eurostat data (Government Statistc Office), 99.8% of European businesses have fewer than 249 employees and accounts for 67.4% of employment, 91.8% have less than 10 employees.The numbers presented below show clearly how SMEs make up a very significant fact, with a high potential for long-term growth and job creation.
In fact, despite its small size, these companies are regional leaders in different industries, equipped with advanced technologies, with an enormous know-how, the envy of even the biggest multinationals.
An economic scenario on which to rely entirely,on where to invest much, which can be the engine of a huge economic development.
The National Guarantee Fund
Its purpose is to facilitate access to sources of finance for small and medium enterprises through the provision of a guarantee that the public supports and often replaces the collateral flow from businesses.Addressing the National Guarantee Fund, therefore, the company does not have a cash contribution, but has the practical ability to obtain financing without additional guarantees (and thus no cost guarantees or insurance policies) on the amounts guaranteed by the Fund.
The mechanism of operation of the Fund generates an important leverage effect, able to act as a multiplier of public resources for which it is to be an instrument of industrial policy that has a cost / benefit ratio than any other facility: 1 euro funding additional Fund, the enterprise system receives about 20 Euros in funding.
It is, also, a revolving fund, which is fed independently to effect the gradual repayment of loans and able to ensure a large number of businesses.
The final beneficiaries, who are granted the State guarantee, are small and medium-sized enterprises (as defined in the regulations), including small businesses, on the national territory, economically sound and from all sectors.
The law provides that the management of the instrument was entrusted with different tasks, a Management Committee and an Investment Manager.
The Management Committee is a place for dialogue and confrontation: it is made up of 21 members, appointed by Decree of the Ministry of Economic Development, representing the interests of the Central Government (Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ministry of of Agriculture and Forestry, Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers), local government and various economic categories.
The Manager is the Deposits and Loans Fund (the investment bank controlled by the state).
The Fund has a standard budget of about 100 billion euro.
This means that, thanks to the leverage effect described above, allows the release of investments amounting to a sum more than tripled.
So, are available in the short term, about 300 billion euro of investments in the real economy: a non-negligible amount.
The National Fund for Microcredit
The Fund is managed and controlled entirely by the Ministry of Economic Development, and has an endowment of approximately 6 billion.It deals with finance, loans with interest rate with virtually at zero and very delayed in time, both for companies both for normal people.
Just like a regular bank loan, but the amount dispensed does not exceed € 500,000, and goes to fund those businesses (those species as very small) and the common people who normally would not be taken into account by the banks.
A figure that is enough to make developing a small business, or just to bring out a person or family from a situation of poverty or economic hardship.
ll loan then is not levied on persons to whom it is addressed.
In this way, not only from a huge development opportunities to small businesses, but it is also a powerful tool to fight poverty.

EURUSSIA LAUNCHES INTERSTELLAR PROBE
The Eurussian Space Agency have launched another multi-billion dollar space program to probe and conduct extensive research on the interstellar space or the outer Solar System. The new program aims to study the composition of that certain region in the outer space for the benefit of all humankind as astronomers and space enthusiasts will be able to conduct in-depth analysis on the composition of the interstellar space.
The newest space probe, the first in human history, will be conducted by the Eurussia's newly built and technologically advanced Eurussian "Interstellar" Observatory satellite which is estimated to reach its destination in 30 years time which will be considered a great leap for man made space objects and a boost to ambitious space programs.

The event in the Arveyres that is causing the most controversy is the election of a female leader of the Holy Patrician Orthodox Church. This throne has never been held by a female and was traditionally a throne held by only males. Juliana Talini, aged 78, was created a cardinal by the Pope Octavius who recently passed.
Juliana is expected to ascend to her throne and hold her first papal mass within the next week. Popess Juliana is also set to tour other Angelic Orthodox Churches, with the first being the Holy Patriarchate of the Marquetien Orthodox Church.

A brief overview over the most recent developments of one of the most powerful economies in the world
Until only few months ago, asking to any economist or analyst about which were the pillar supporting the Tarajani economy meant to receive always the same answer: tourism, finance, energy.
The "Core Triad" (as defined in a recent article of the Royal Tarajan University Press) of the Kingdom's economy was considered the only thing pushing forward the growth and the development of New Tarajan. But is this the truth, now? First of all, it must be said that never in its history, the Kingdom survived only on those three points: information technology, high-tech (particularly space-oriented) and military tech have always been as critical sectors as the other threes However, any economical analysis of the Kingdom, until now, focused only on the previous points. And now, recent developments are challenging definitively this obsolete view: the emergence of new markets, the strenghtening of the old ones, are making New Tarajan one of the most powerful economies in the world. Let's take a look over them, sector by sector (or, better to say, product by product), beginning with the "Core Triad" and going ahead.
Tourism
Tourist industry has been a fundamental pillar of the Tarajani economy since the very beginning of its history: unchallenged beautiful landscapes, wonderful ruins, demonstration of incredibly rich history and culture, allowed New Tarajan to enjoy one of the most significant influx of tourists per year in the world. Recently, both the single State authorities and the royal government underlined this leading-role by launching new ad-hoc infrastructure projects (new submarine railway line to the Shraman Islands, the high-speed railway connecting New Tarajan, Antanares and the Sdudeti-Karabak) and stimulating new investments in the sector (such as the multi-million project of the Great Shraman Islands Hotel Complex, financed by the International Tourist Group, I.B.G. and U.I.G.). Finance
After the wave of liberalization policies soon after the coronation of King Friederick Wilhelm, the financial sector of New Tarajan grew up so quickly that, now, it constitutes not only a critical pillar for the tenure of the entire economy, with an increasing driving role, but also it has a fundamental global role. The financial groups based in New Tarajan expanded their activities almost everywhere, thanks to a favourable domestic situation, the support of the government, and an incredible flexibility and ability of their managers (mainly coming from the Tarajani aristocracy). At the actual stage, Tarajani finance has strong bases inside the Antanaresian economy (probably the most powerful in the world), New-Zealand, Aloia, Europe and many other States. New Tarajan systematically increased its foreign investments, becoming a leader in the sector (think about the latest massive investments in NZ infrastructure projects). Moreover, there are all the intentions to continue on this path: the choice to appoint Countess Van Aardenne, famours supporter of the financial sector, at the seat of Minister of Economy has given a new boost to the groups, now even more sure of the government support.
The Royal International Bank, one of the most important banking institutions of the world, announced today the intention to create a new series of subsidiaries, first of all in the emerging markets of the Sdudeti-Karabak and North Ajania. The birth of the SDKB (Sdudeti-Karabak Bank) and the NASVAB (North Ajania Savings & Values Bank) are critical components of this new strategy. The new subsidiaries will not only cover the market of the two Brother States, but also will act alongside the RIB directly on the foreign market.
U.I.G., instead, announced the decision to create a new Special Fund for investments inside the Tarajani manufacturing and mining secotrs. A decision which could help boost two recently-growing sectors, particularly if implemented together with the new policies of the government with the same aim.

Energy
The energy sector of New Tarajan has been particularly supported by the government in the past months: the recent deals with NZ (creation of NTNZ Gascom), the creation of the RESEGI and the new Orbital Solar Array Project with Antanares shifted the investments of the sector almost entirely abroad. This after the Kingdom reached an almost completely energy independence. Helodine Energy and its main subsidiary, NTNZ Gascom, are implementing at the same time an Energy Efficiency Program inside the Kingdom, and a Foreign Development Program, aimed to expand their activities all around the globe, thanks to a great experience, a strong financial support and a continuous technological development.
New Tarajan Electricity Company, the most important energy-generation company of the Kingdom, decided to join the EEP, and now is looking forward for a complete modernization of its infrastructures: jointly with the Ministry of Economy, the company is ready to become a full refit program of many critical power-plants (particularly in Astana, Alleskandberg and Eindhoven).
At the same time, the royal government is working on a new reform of the electricity distrbution market: monopolized by the same NTEC, indeed, the market will be soon open to privatization and liberalization, with the creation of three new distribution companies (Energy Supplies Companies, or ESC) based respectively on Eindhoven, Meisjecasteel and Himeraa. A move which will surely increase the ability of this critical sector to respond to the increasing demand on the market.
Defense
After the merging of all the main defense industries of the Kingdom in the National Defense Industry Association (NDIA), the sector is seeing an increasing development. The increasing tensions with Eurussia led the government to corrispondingly increase its demands in the sector, particularly about modernization and refit. Also, the recent joint projects with Antanares (Antigone), with Europe (Eurofighter/Gripen; skycarrier joint venture) and the deals with Dromoda have given to the Tarajani defense industry new inimaginable opportunities for expansion. Thanks to cutting-edge technology investments, a strict cooperation between the single companies in the framework of the NDIA and a great experience in engineering and design, the sector is expected to know even a more quick growth in the near future.

Luxury Commodities
Here we come. One of the most surprisingly fast-growing sectors of the Tarajani economy. The Kingdom, probably thanks to its experience in the field of tourism, is literally becoming a top-producer of luxury commodities: from the prestigious Horat Red Wine, the elegant wooden furniture of Bakran and carpets of Muraz to the crystal glasses of Himeraa, fashion ateliers of Astana and the yacht industry of Alleskandberg, New Tarajan economy is becoming much more luxury-oriented than it was in the past, especially thanks to the growing standards of life and to the new export requests. The Royal Council has decided to adopt an entire new package of measures aimed to improve the support to this sector, particularly through a strict cooperation with banking institutes, providing specifically-designed micro-credit and legal frameworks, and a wide range of facilities.

Raw materials
Another recent surprise, the raw materials constitutes now one of the main voices of the Tarajani export. Particularly, the sector enjoys of the incredibly strong partnership with New-Zealand, which imports the majority of the materials for its growing and powerful manufacturing sector from the Kingdom itself: a situation helped also by the extreme attention of the Social-Democracy toward the environmental regulations, a core of the Tarajani legislation (New Tarajan is considered one of the most eco-friendly countries of the world) which stopped a greater development of the sector, until now. Indeed, the NZ eco-friendly policy allows New Tarajan to continue to implement its strict legislation on mining activities balancing with higher prices (and better quality).

Alongside the already mentioned railways and tourist-oriented projects, the Ministry of Economy and Finance is at work for the design of a new development project for the Conrad III International Airport of Astana, the modernization of the Alleskandberg Sea Hub (the most important in the Kingdom, and probably in the entire Shirouma Sea), a canalization system for the Shalimar River, and three new highways (Astana-Van Janusekstadt, Astana-Shaharazad and Eindhoven-Bakran), which will be soon followed by similar railways (except for the first one, which is already existing).

So, in conclusion, New Tarajan is enjoying a new period of economic development. No matter the political tensions abroad, the Kingdom's economy is proving to be almost unstoppable, and is becoming quicly a relevant actor on a global arena.

Are our environmental laws bottlenecking the economy?
Leading economists and business spokespersons, including the CEO of the Chrysler Group, are warning the government that its restrictive environmental laws are becoming more of a strain to the economy. Currently due to the "Marine Preservation Act" and "Air Preservation Act", the Social Democracy is relying on only one major seaport and airport for international trade and travel, both of these are situated in Auckland. Due to this, the KiwiRail network is rapidly becoming the backbone of New-Zealand as the vast majority of imports and exports are transported via train. It is already a widely known fact that the environmental preservation set up is slightly bottlenecking the economical performance of the Social Democracy, but experts are now warning that continual use of the current system will result in a crippling bottleneck. The government has previously responded to the issue by upgrading the highway network, KiwiRail networks, and has recently commissioned the upgrade of Auckland International Airport and Ports of Auckland to make them both the worlds largest Airport and Seaport respectively. Today the government acted further on this issue by allocating extra funds to KiwiRail ($115 Billion) to upgrade their existing rail network to support faster trains, and is committing another $50 Billion to buy new high speed freight trains like that seen above. In addition to this, the government has granted the Chrysler Group the right to build their own exclusive port in Johnsonville to cater for their own needs. Together these changes are expected to greatly relieve the pressure on the economy, and loosen the bottleneck back to manageable levels.
However, the NZ Bussiness Association (NZBA) has continued to lobby for further leniency on the environmental preservation acts, particularly the one which has completely placed a halt on all mining and made the nation dependant on imports from New Tarajan, Great Eurussia and other allies. However, this was met with a quick dismissal from the Prime Minister who stated "I will no longer encourage this discussion. Both our tourism and agriculture markets are heavily dependant on the environment, which in our case has an extremely fragile ecosystem. I refuse to encourage some mining boom which will eventually come to an end when I'm gambling with tourism and agriculture which are even more valuable and unlike mining, are everlasting. If you came here to ask us to sell off the environment, you might as well leave and never come back because the answer has been the same for the past two hundred years, and will continue to be the same for the next two thousand years : THE ENVIRONMENT IS NOT FOR SALE!"

The Palais Mansart, also known as the Place de l'Opéra Royale, Marquette of Pacific's largest and finest opera house, has finally been reopened after a year and a half of renovation and restoration of the 18th century opera house.
The Palais Mansart, built in 1744 to commemorate the coronation of King Vincent I, has long served as the royal opera house in Besançon, and is revered by many as one of the preeminent opera houses in the world. It seats nearly two thousand people and is home to the Besançon Opera and proudly employs some of the best opera singers in the world.
To commemorate its re-opening after a long renovation and restoration, Antonio Vivaldi's famous opera, L'Olimpiade, is being performed as their opening performance. Antonio Vivaldi was a Venetian composer who spent the majority of his adult life in Besançon composing for the Marquetien kings and nobility, thus the re-opening of this famous opera house with one of his works is iconic.

The three major languages of Aloia--English, Spanish, and French--have existed peacefully in the kingdom for hundreds of years, being used interchangeably, with English being the primary language. This appears to be changing. With the admission of the 4 Burgundian states to the Imperial Union, the number of French-speakers has inflated, and a fourth language--Portuguese--has been added to the list of Aloian tongues.
Previously, French was the third language, behind both English and Spanish in number of native speakers and users. With this expansion of the number, the anglophones and hispanophones feel like their languages are being threatened. Portuguese has also entered the Imperial Union through the Lisbon Peninsula in one of the Burgundian states. These changes have led to instabilities among the various language communities of Aloia. Hopefully this conflict can be resolved in a purely Aloian way.

Chrysler On A Roll?
With the acquisition of Aston Von Martin and the partnership with the Toyota Group, The Chrysler Groups is in leaps and bounds rapidly becoming one of the worlds most revered companies. The company itself is holding dominance in pretty much all of the world's major markets apart from the Marquettan market, one which has for long been isolated from the rest of the world, instead trading within it's own "United Kingdom". The Chrysler Group has long been known for it's shrewd business tactics, but it's deals with Ivania and Novo Canuckia were far beyond the expectations of even an optimistic Chrysler fanboy. The two agreements allowed Chrysler to gain a 100% market share in both Ivania and Novo Canuckia, as the Ivanian government signed a deal to have it's Department of Automobiles (The sole Automobile retailer in Ivania) buy ALL it's vehicles off the Chrysler Groups big three (Dodge, Chrysler and RAM). Similarly, the Novo Canuckian government signed a deal to have all it's buses and police vehicles supplied by the Chrysler Group, and as Novo Canuckia has a complete ban on private automobiles, resulting in the Novo Canuckian's being dependant on the public bus network, The Chrysler Group subsidiary "RAM" now has a 100% share of the Novo Canuckian market. Apart from these, the multiple other agreement signed by the NZ Government on behalf of the Chrysler Group has allowed the company to obtain a comfortable position as the dominant brand in the Markets of many large nations such as New Tarajan, Newasia, Great Eurussia, Shirouma, Antanares, Newellia and Havenburgh. The Chrysler Group alongside it's Shirouman born sister company "The Toyota Group" now together account for 53% of the world's new car sales. Of that 53%, 46% is from the Chrysler Group and 7% is from the Toyota Group. Of the 46% from the Chrysler Group, 32% is from the New-Zealand manufacturers Dodge, Chrysler and RAM, 4% is from the Eurussian subsidiary Fiat, 3% is from the remaining New Tarajani subsidiaries of Alfa Romeo and Aston Von Martin, and the remaining 7% is a mix of the remaining 4 Chrysler Group subsidiaries.

After a year of rebellion, succession, and reformation, the Arveyres is ready to begin the new year of on good ground. As we look back at 2013 in the Arveyres, we can see how much the form of government has changed and adapted.
The year started off with the January Rebellion, organised by Luttona, a feminist terrorist group that attacked and killed upwards of 35.000 people. Amongst those who were killed was the majority of the Imperial Family, including: HIM Jeanne I (carrying twins at the time, posthumously named Aètre and Sophie), HG Jeanne II, HG Victoire, HG François, HG Paul, and HG Benoît.
During midsummer, the Principality of Arveyres was proclaimed by HIH André. The Principality lasted until November upon the abdication of André due to fathering twins in New Tarajan. During the period between November 15 and December 15, also called the l'Inconnu (the Unkown). During this time, Oriane VI (carrying the name of previous rulers in the Aphrodine Kingdom) was appointed to be the next ruler.
In late December, everything switched for the Arveyres, Oriane instituted the Royal Society of Arveyres, Maurecourt, and Beloeil. Also made law during this time is restricting the succession to strictly females. The capital city was also shifted down into the south provinces of the Society to cement their place in the SOWESO and SECURS.

After hearing news of the death of Empress Elizabeth II, mother of the Lord of Arveyres, a service was ordered to be conducted in her honour. It was declared a day of mourning and rememberance. All major banks, post offices, and schools were closed in her honour.

As the late Empress Elizabeth II have been laid to rest, His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Akihito has officially started his reign and exercised his powers when he accepted the courtesy resignation of former Chancellor Vladimir Putin and his cabinet who were from the ruling socialist-liberal United Eurussia Party, a shocking move that perplexed political analysts as it have been a practice that a ruling political party in the parliament is expected to assume the government leadership at the helm of the Eurussian Empire.
Nevertheless, His Imperial Majesty has appointed His Excellency, Shinzo Abe, as the new Chancellor of Great Eurussia, together with His Excellency, Taro Aso, which is now the new Vice Chancellor of Great Eurussia which were ordered to form the new Cabinet. The new head of government was the former Premier of the Duchy of Orenburg who toppled powerful political parties in gaining the premiership independently and stirred the rapid development of the island territory despite its remoteness from mainland Eurussia and other duchies. The appointment ceremonies were all held at the newly designated official residence of His Imperial Majesty, the massive estate of the Tokyo Imperial Palace, located at the outskirts of Moscow showcasing the Eurussian monarch's taste in simplicity.
EU ADOPTS NEW IMPERIAL EMBLEMS
Alongside the appointment of a new chancellor, His Imperial Majesty, has also issued an imperial decree officially changing the Eurussian Empire's imperial flag from the blue-colored and eagle-emboldened flag into the new red-colored and chrysanthemum-emboldened flag together with the changing of the imperial coat-of-arms from the elaborate eagle heraldry to the new very simplistic chrysanthemum emblem. With these changes, in a matter of days, all imperial buildings, institutions, government establishments, embassies, and consulates of the Eurussian Empire throughout the world will be adopting the new imperial emblems. This was the first time such changes were implemented after 480 years.

First Season of National Formula 1 started in Türkiye. First Race took place in Istanbul. The winner of The Istanbul Grand Prix was Red Bull Racing Team. Crews and cars will move to Ankara for the second race.

Turkish buildings all around the country will be restored. Most of the buildings were damaged because Türkiye divided in the past and a race started between all states until Turkiye was reformed. Also army will modernise too because new designs created in the last decade. Modernisation will start from Ankara and it will end in Diyarbakir. House of Representatives may also expand the factories in Turkiye to improve economy for long term. Expansion of Dactories may improve amount of production capacity in Turkiye for long term. But making all of them in one time can cause treasury of Turkiye to decrease in Short Term. Also new buildings will add to sone cities. Example: buildings to check trade in Türkiye. Those buildings will built one per city. There will be much more add ups in the modernisation. It's recommended from House of Representatives to get some of the cash from other local industries for paying modernisation but Deniz Onuralp rejected it and the modernisation started as House of Representatives get enough money from Treasury of Turkiye
